As described. A safe place but don't forget to have a lock for your belongings for other visitors. There are lockable cabinets overhead. Also the cabin beds are very good, you can create a private area by covering them with a blanket yourself. I guess I didn't have any problems with toilets and bathrooms because I didn't go during the season. Thank you🎀

The facilities were well cleaned. I did not have any issue. Also using provided linen, privacy of small bed is secured. Also the lamp is equipped with USB socket. No trouble at all. Only thing you should be aware is no locker is available. If you have luggage you can store it in the backyard securely.

The location is good.
However, because the price is so cheap, there are many people who seem to be long-term residents and I worry that they may be taking something illegal in Japan, so I felt uneasy about the security aspect.
The toilets, showers, and rooms are mixed and only have the bare necessities. I have stayed in mixed dormitories in various countries, mainly in Europe, but this one left me with a very strong feeling of uneasiness. I would not recommend it, especially for women.
As long as it's cheap, I think it's fine.

Absolutely great hostel. All the reviews of people being mad I don't know what's up with them. Smack dab in the middle of old town with bars close and food even closer. It was a little strange to get to, but very intuitive after the first time getting in. Stayed in the 14 bed room and had 0 issues, extremely private beds as well. They were soft, pillows good too, sheets provided- no towels however but not a huge issue imo. Staff were very friendly-there was a slight altercation when I was there- but the guy behind the desk came around and put his fists up and actually took a swing, they then threw the guy out, but I was not able to witness it. I woke up late at 1, and despite the 11am check out time, there was no issue. 10/10

The beds were nested in these neat compartments, open at the end towards the room. Provided some privacy, and there was a lively spirit at the hostel. There was no soap, but the price was probably friendlier for it, and with a bit of imagination I took some from the hand-dispenser by the sinks... Appreciated the staff figuring things out as the booking service overbooked..

Really nice staff, reception 24hrs, very local in the city, not far from cafes and restaurants. We stayed in a private room, with shared bathroom and showers,all seems new and renovated! Clean and comfy, cool vibes, definitely stay again.

We arrived at the hostel because of its location and rate. It is indeed in the historic center, this is its strength. Otherwise, the first thing is that the hostel does not have a notice at the entrance of the building, so you have to enter and then on the second floor look for another door, which they open for you to go up to the third level where the reception is finally located and they do the check-in. We booked a private room, but the location on the second floor had the problem that people entering or leaving made noise when passing through the hallway, as I say it is an old building and this does not allow you to rest well. The bathrooms are located on the fourth floor and are common for men and women. The kitchen, although large, is kept quite messy and unclean. Otherwise there is not much more to say about this place, the person who was always at the reception was friendly. If you want to save and be located in the center this is your hotel, if you have a better budget it is worth looking at more options.
