We stayed at the hotel as a family in August 2024. The accommodations are very decent with hot water available all day for a shower. The beds are good. The location is good in Rentepao. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about the Toraja country, very good source of advice, and speaks French very well. The one thing to note, which did not surprise us completely because mentioned in other reviews, is the noise of the city itself - however, it was something we had never experienced quite to that level before. Roosters, dogs, the mosque at 4/4:30 am, the church at 5 am. Bring earplugs!

New hotel, impeccable marble, clean room and comfortable mattress, hot water and private breakfast on the terrace. July, patron and emeritus Francophone and Francophile, explains his Toraja culture very well, and knows how to advise on visits, the means of getting there and the possibilities of participating in funeral ceremonies (bringing an offering such as a carton of cigarettes). His son Oki can also accompany to arrive or leave Rantepao (excellent driver) and speaks French.

Très belle maison avec jolie vue depuis tous les étages. De belles terrasses avec tables et chaises permettent de prendre les repas et d’admirer la vue en se reposant. Nous nous sommes fait livrer à manger sans difficulté, car nous ne souhaitions pas nous déplacer (par choix). Bon petit déjeuner (les crêpes ont été très appréciées par les enfants !) Le laundry est efficace, et un réfrigérateur est à disposition si besoin. Notre chambre était suffisamment grande (nous étions 2 adultes et 2 enfants) avec tout le confort nécessaire pour dormir, et propre. Yuli (qui parle extrêmement bien français) et sa famille sont disponibles pour nous aider, accueillants et très gentils.
