We've just returned from 2 nights at this fantastic, hidden gem of a hideaway. Alison and Phill are an amazingly attentive, interesting and welcoming couple. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well -equipped. . . there was even a double boot/shoe dryer. We had a small fridge to chill our drinks and the shower was fantastic. Guests can use the peaceful, riverside garden where fellow dog lovers would appreciate the company of the couples 2 dogs. The location is fabulous, being a 5 minute walk to Talybont station ( 10 mins to Barmouth every 2 hours ), even less to the local pub and approx 10 minutes down to the beach and a great bar/restaurant Nineteen 57 ( I think). The Breakfast ? Simply fantastic. Delicious home made bread by Phill, large variety of fresh fruit, cereals and yoghurts. The sausage, bacon etc is all locally sourced and extremely tasty. Alison is a talented cook, the presentation impressive and portion size. . . more than enough. Believe me, if you choose the ' Full Welsh ' option, you can skip lunch. It's just basically a fantastic B&B, run by a lovely couple. There might be a few more exclusive establishments in the area but none will beat it for value for money.
