Hotel Tamariu

We spent 2 nights in Apartment A1 adjacent to this lovely little family-run hotel. It was clean and spacious and served our needs well. Though it could use with a bit of updating, overall we were quite pleased with the amenities and the location. It was a 1-bedroom apartment. Our son slept on the sofa bed in the living room. There was an eating area and a full kitchen, which we did not use because our accommodation included breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant, El Clot dels Mussols. The apartment also had in-suite laundry, which proved to be very useful. Service was consistently friendly. Breakfast was plentiful - standard Continental fare with cereals, yogurt, cheese, cold cuts, breads, pastries, boiled eggs, and excellent coffee. Dinner was very good both nights. Tamariu is a wonderful village, not heavily touristed and quite authentic. If you are looking for a quiet Costa Brava getaway, I would highly recommend this place.

What a beautiful place to stay. We had a meal here.. really nice food and plenty to go round! We recommend this great place. Tacos were served with avocado and meats.. and followed by special ice cream and coffee.. a lovely experience! Thank you!

We come to this hotel regularly for a drink and a snack. All the staff are extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for you, always a smile on their faces, and a friendly chat when they're not too busy. Beautiful aspect overlooking the bay of Tamariu

Centrally located family run hotel in Tamariu with lovely ocean front rooms with large terraces. Ideal location in this small costal town with lots of restaurants. Comfortable beds with large bathroom.

Isn't it wonderful when you stay at a place that exceeds your expectations. So it was when we stayed at this hotel. Firstly the bay is absolutely beautiful. Add to that a hotel right by the beach run by 2 delightful sisters, Anna and Susan. Nothing was a problem or was too much trouble either for them or their staff. Room was spacious and comfortable. Food was excellent and the breakfast was very good and geared to suit every taste. We live in a beautiful area on the Cote d'Azur, south of France, so are used to breathtaking views. But the views of Tamariu combined with such friendly people in the hotel made our stay special. We will certainly be back!!! Thank you Anna, Susan and your staff ;-) Donald

If you are looking for a hotel in Tamariu, you can't beat Hotel Hostalillo. I believe it is the only full service hotel in town. It is not a luxury property in any sense, but the rooms are clean and very adequate. It is located right on a nice, protected beach. It is very well maintained. The hotel is family friendly. Small children (in our case grandchildren) are welcome. It has a nice restaurant and a great bar (and bartender) with a veranda overlooking the beach. The staff are super and very accommodating--daily providing us with nice towels and loaning us an beach umbrella for the beach. We bought inexpensive beach chairs and another umbrella at a nearby shop which we donated to the hotel's lending stock. It does not have on site parking. There is taxi service, at a price, from the Barcelona airport. We have been several times and will return. The price/quality ratio is appropriate.
