The accommodation impresses with clean, well-equipped rooms and friendly staff. Its jungle location offers easy access and a peaceful environment. However, some guests find the open-air concept cool but potentially disruptive.

Already on the boat to the Lodge I saw Capybaras, Macaws, Caimans and other assorted wildlife. The tours that the lodge offered were very well done and not boring. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food was excellent and fresh. Only the rooms took a little getting used to, as they were open at the top and towards the rain forest. There was however, hot water in the shower!

Fantastic resort and great daily jungle activities. Our guide Inez was terrific. A secluded resort in the middle of the jungle, large comfy rooms and plenty of communal spaces when you feel like company. We saw so many different birds, monkeys and of course the otters.

It was an amazing experience. To be able to climb the tower and look out on the canopy, see 4 different kinds of monkeys, river otters and be guided by Oscar was unforgettable. We heard about the research going on. Also to sleep in a lodge with one side completely open to the jungle was a privilege.

This was our last stop on a 2 week trip to Peru. It was a nice, relaxing outdoor hotel at the highest level of glamping. The lodge has comfy beds, great food, amazing bar, and the location is perfect for enjoying all sorts of activities in the Amazon area.

Excellent area of rooms, rest areas and -lace to eat and drink. Very well designed. All lovely varnished wood. Rooms with one wall missing, so open to the jungle! Using the mosquito nets after dark a must (staff put down and keep very clean) - please enjoy the wildlife that may enter your room. We had a little frog on our dressing table one morning, some large moths on the outside of our nets at night and some gorgeous crickets. Red howler monkeys in the trees next to our room. Food was so fresh and enjoyable, no problem for a vegetarian as long as they know. Staff and guides all local, knowledgeable and so helpful. We went at the end of October and there were not many guests at that time. Beware there is quite a walk uphill coming into camp every time - tiring in the heat.

I have held off writing a review for a few weeks whilst I think things through. The lodge was in an incredible location and the wildlife was out of this world. Our guide, Freet was very knowledgable and experienced. The rooms were nicely decorated and having one side completely open to the jungle was an amazing experience. I have no idea why the rooms were designed with low walls between rooms as this was totally unnecessary and having floor to ceiling walls would not have detracted from the ambience. You could hear everything from your neighbours, when they turned the lights on, when they spoke or went to the toilet. Just hope you have courteous neighbours. The food was ok. As vegetarians we basically just ate bread, rice and salad. The selection of fruit was great and fresh. We had one incident where a member of our assigned group asked to move guides due to a misunderstanding. Instead of moving them to a new group, the manager instead replaced our guide with a more junior guide. The manager stated that the previous guide was needed for another group that included a “social media influencer”. We were very disappointed with this as we developed a great rapport with our original guide and were very happy with him. We had no choice but to oblige with the manager and lose our knowledgable guide and friend.

What can I say? This is certainly a highlight of any tour we have been on in the world. Oscar our guide was extremely knowledgeable and we had some amazing experiences during our 3 night stay. The trip to the oxbow lake to see the giant river otters was outstanding- watching them fish and argue was amazing. The night walk was interesting and the bedrooms have no windows so you are open to the sounds of the forest. The only thing which could be improved is the timings for dinner. You need to be very prompt and they take the food away too swiftly. That aside I’d definitely recommend this tour. Well done Rainforest Expeditions.

Rainforest Expeditions is a wonderful company and the Posadas Amazonas lodge is a beautiful location to spend your time in the Amazon. The staff are all incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. The tours were very fun and we saw lots of animals including River otters, monkeys, birds, and capybaras. We loved our guide Luis and all the people we met. The food was delicious and locally grown and there was never a dull moment. Would highly recommend!
