MMyat Htoo HtetMy stay at Seriental Hotel was delightful, thanks to the exceptional service at the reception and the hotel's charming classical design. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm greetings and helpful attitude, always ready to assist with any requests. The location was also fantastic—close to major attractions and public transportation, making it easy to explore the city. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities needed for a short stay. The hotel's elegant architecture and well-maintained structure added a timeless charm, with beautifully decorated common areas creating a cozy yet refined ambiance. Although it's a 3-star hotel, the attention to detail in both the service and design made my stay memorable. Perfect for travelers looking for budget-friendly comfort with a touch of classic elegance!

AAchie MartaBrand new building and room, so everything still clean and well-maintained. Breathtaking views from the room's window, all you can see is sea and skies! One only complain is, unfortunately we found someone's panty (maybe from the previous guest) still hanging behind the bathroom's door 😬 But overall, good stay.

SShamugam PillaiWow! The view from the room facing the ocean is breathtaking. You can just stand there and see it all day long. It's so mesmerizing. The room is big with all the facilities provided. The pool is also facing the ocean. It's worth the price. Right opposite the hotel there are so many stalls to check out. Bars along the beach are walking distance.

Room was basic but clean. Stairs to loft bed have no railing so your balance has to be okay.
What I liked: it’s very near the beach (but be careful going down the steep steps with a rusting and questionable guardrail). And it’s also a minute’s walk from the nearby food place with many affordable options for dinner. Not far from the bus stop. Penang’s bus services are not bad.
What I didn’t like: the positions of the room lighting are poor, including the bathroom where the opaque shower curtain blocks the bathroom light, and the loft where the bare bulb is right above your head and glows even when off. I unscrewed the bulb in order to stop that. Also, not many breakfast options nearby.
Music from a nearby nightspot could be heard along with some firecracker type noises some nights, but these died down by about 10pm so not a problem for me.
In all, I would rate this place a solid 4/5 and I wouldn’t mind staying here again.

GGuest UserThis hotel is one of the best located on Penang if you’re interested in spending time on the beach. You literally walk out of the door and down some steps and you’re on the beach. It’s also pretty clean with hotel staff looking after any discarded rubbish in the area.
Food was ok. Room service was a bit of a let down though as they took a really long time to deliver and made a couple of mistakes.

Cafe cantik. Makanan sedap tapi agak mahal sikit. But it's OK. Overall OK je..
Tapi pool kena check. Takut ada Masalah lagi ya..

1) Customer support WhatsApp replies very quickly and politely :).
2) Many food establishments nearby. Search “claypot restaurant” we ate there 4 days in a row even after shifting away from this hotel.
3) Swimming pool was nice and clean.
4) Antique decorations in the hotel looks amazing.
5) had 2 private carpark lots in the compound, there are parking spots outside of the compound as well, just unsure if it is legal. We were lucky to have at least 1 lot in the hotel during our stay.
Can be improved:
1) Hotel has no reception, make sure customers gets their check in details before they arrive the hotel or at least just before 3pm.
2) Wifi speed can be faster. It failed a few times during my 3d2n stay there. The Mrs and I couldn’t even load google maps. Quite frustrating. Had to use my data.
3) Sound proofing maybe? We had a room facing the Main Street and in our room there’s a door that used to be able to open and go to the balcony but it’s blocked by a large wardrobe. This allowed the sound to travel through the door gaps.
4) toilet can be cleaner, check the floor traps and the make sure it’s clean, cleaner left a ball of hair stuck at the floor traps.
5) toilet floor can have anti slip strips. Really slippery. Had to ban my toddler from going into the toilet.
6) too many mosquitoes at the hotel. Fortunately we didn’t have it in our room.

EElyana MazharIts was my 5th time here but this time with my beloved husband for our prehoneymoon vacay hehe.. Great environment, good amenities and for breakfast buffet variety can upgrade more in future yeah 👌
