Discovery Parks - Tannum Sands

We booked an ensuite site online. There was no requirement on the form to state the size of our caravan so we booked and paid for the site. We later received a telephone call advising that there was no availability as our van was too large for the ensuite site that was available We then were allocated a powered site which was the last available which was unfortunately beside the playground. This site would be great for families with children but not for couples wanting a peaceful stay! We were told we could not get an immediate refund for the extra we had paid for the ensuite site and a special form would have to be completed which could take several days, On the positive side the office staff were friendly and helpful the fault lies with the booking processs and policy of Discovery Parks. The park itself was in a pleasant location close to the beach and walking track and the amenities were very clean,

Every praise possible to Donna, looked after me, offering me another site when I mentioned a concern with the site I was on. Advised me of my member status and what was available upgrades and freebies, all team very friendly and helpful. Park has large sites and in a great location. Currently the midges are a nuisance pack your spray.

Lovely place but. Can't check in until 2pm then have to check out at 10.00am. Not good when only staying one night. Why 2.00pm??? Other than that nice and chilled. showers/toilets Abit dated but clean. Loved the peacocks ..........................

park in great condition. staff awesome. such a pretty place. amenities were old style but in great repair. laundry took tap and go card. wash and dry very easy. amenities were spotless at all times. van parking was easy. roads well kept. close to beach ie. over the road. great place to relax and unwind. i am partially disabled but had no issue getting around. best park so far on our trip. thanks guys.

This is a nice park - very roomy cabins, separate rooms, kitchen was very good, an old but full sized fridge as well. Limited wifi due to the trees. A plus or minus depending how you see it, were the peacocks - lovely birds but they do like to leave large deposits on the small balcony when they visit. However it didn't bother us.

A magnificent, peaceful, quiet and very restful park. This park is beautifully run by manager Bobbi and her staff. Very welcoming and extremely helpful. Across the road from the beautiful Tannum Sands beach and walking track. Ammenities are always spotless a credit to the cleaners. We will return.
