Mendolia Beach Hotel

I am not one for writing a bad review. However, on this occasion, l did feel the need to . The hotel was very substandard. When booking, we asked for a double room. we were given a room with a double and single bed , not much room to walk around . The bathroom is very basic, and overall, the bedroom and bathroom needed a renovation. Passing what looked like a breakfast room on the first floor looked more like a store room . I don't think they have served breakfast there for guests for some time . We were offered breakfast on our balcony but declined , thankfully as the balcony was in need of a good clean . The hotel has a nice view, however it is located on a busy road . The lady on reception was very rude, (Others have also mentioned this on reviews) Would not recommend this hotel

I stayed 2 nights at the hotel with my partner, the room was clean and very nice. The views were amazing. You have a nice terrace with a unobstructed view of Isolla Bella. The hotel is totally worth the money. If I ever visit Taormina again I would stay again in Mendolia Beach hotel. Also the service was really good.

We had a lovely stay at the Mendolia Beach Hotel. The view from our balcony was amazing. We booked direct with the hotel which meant we had breakfast and access to the Beach Club included in the price of our stay. We thought this was great value considering the location, the view and the facilities at the Beach club. The room was clean and comfortable, with SKY tv an added bonus! Breakfast was brought to our room everyday which was delightful to sit and enjoy on the balcony! All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, with a special mention to Dario, who ensured all our needs were met. There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance and with an easy ride up to the Taormina town on the cable car. We would definitely return.

The most beautiful view from our terrace nice modern bathroom very clean good breakfast but should change it around a bit so not have the same breakfast everyday. Staff were lovely and we had our own entrance so felt like an apartment. Very enjoyable stay , highly recommend it.

We stayed two nights at the hotel. Friendly staff welcomed us. It is quite tricky to find parking. The street in front of the hotel is busy. The whole city of Taormina was extremely crowded at the time we were there. The receptionist helped us up with the luggage. The room was clean and spacious with a cute terrace and view over Isola Bella. The hotel is somewhat worn down, but most likely you are not going to spend a lot of time inside the room. The hotel offered a breakfast service which was served on our terrace every morning. This is recommended. The staff was friendly and made reservations to restaurants and suggested things to see/do. The beach is just a two minute walk from the hotel. The city of Taormina is up on the hill a 45 minute walk up / 20 minute down. As in other places with no pool, this was something we missed here. It really gets too hot at the beach and therefore it is nice to have a pool, but it is quite pricey in the area. That being said, We would definitely come back.
