GGuest UserA Comfortable Stay with Great Amenities – But Beware the Mosquitoes
We stayed at this relatively new hotel and were impressed with its modern facilities. One of the highlights for us was the 24/7 business centre, which offers complimentary refreshments like soft drinks, tea, chips, and crackers. My son absolutely loved it—it felt like our own little secret spot to unwind after a long day exploring.
The location is excellent. There’s a supermarket right across the street and a mall next door with plenty of dining options, a cinema, and more. The hotel also provides a convenient shuttle bus service that connects to the HSR station for easy access to Taipei.
The included breakfast was quite good, and since there aren’t many nearby breakfast options, it was definitely a plus. The staff were generally friendly—maybe not quite at a five-star level, but still pleasant and helpful overall.
However, the major downside was the mosquito problem. When we checked into our room, we found more than 20 mosquitoes in the room, and they were also present in common areas like the lobby, restaurant, hallways, and business centre. Unfortunately, my son, who is allergic to mosquito bites, was bitten and had a very painful reaction. This was a big disappointment, especially since we weren’t expecting such an issue indoors. We stayed from late May to early June, so perhaps it was seasonal—but we do feel the hotel should take more proactive measures, especially housekeeping, to address this.
Despite the mosquito issue, I would still recommend this hotel for a stay in Taoyuan, especially for its location and overall value—just be sure to pack insect repellent if you're visiting during mosquito season!
PPao huaYou really outdid yourselves – initially! 👍
We brought our kids, expecting a peaceful night's sleep after some singing, but it turned out everyone else was here to party! I'm literally typing this because the noise is keeping me wide awake.
If you're going to accommodate party-goers, couldn't you at least inform family guests like us that it might be noisy until the early hours? Forget about noise control!
As I'm typing this, it's 3:30 AM, and next door, they're not just singing but also running around wildly, with heavy bass and thumping footsteps. I genuinely thought that if they accept regular overnight guests like us, they'd have confident soundproofing!
Please just tell everyone directly: parties are welcome, but if you want to sleep, don't bother coming! This is no place for a peaceful night's rest! This is how I felt at 3 AM.
P.S. After calling to complain around 3 AM, they actually managed to resolve the situation successfully. It quieted down within half an hour. That was impressive!
Then, after waking up at 10 AM, we went for breakfast. There were three main course options: steak, large prawns, and an omelet. All three were delicious! 👏 The steak, in particular, was restaurant quality!
The buffet's beef soup was tasty, and although the selection wasn't huge, everything was to our liking! The jar salads were especially appealing.
There was a nice interlude: a manager came to apologize for the poor sleep quality last night and offered us a complimentary chef's dessert. We truly felt the high standard of service! Thumbs up! 👍
The main thing is: my kids said they slept wonderfully last night and the bed was super comfortable. My wife said that even though she heard some noise, she also slept very comfortably! It just goes to show how excellent the beds are. ☺️
As a result, my children insisted we give it 5 stars because they slept well, ate well, and had so much fun singing! 🥳 So, it went from a one-star experience to a five-star one! ☺️
This level of service truly transformed what could have been an unpleasant experience into a comfortable one. It's truly exceptional!
JJierdaodaogebutingMy flight was affected by a typhoon, so I decided to stay at a hotel close to the airport. Both the ambiance and the service were excellent. In the ground floor lobby, they offered meal vouchers for snacks, and I received a complimentary burrito which was really delicious. The breakfast the next morning was also very generous and offered a great variety. The gym was small but very clean; although the equipment was limited, it was perfectly adequate for a short stay. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit.
EExpatThis is a great place just 33 minutes from the Airport. You can Uber, Bus, and half-way HSR Airport Transit. The key thing to note about this location is that you need to bring your own toiletries and dry slippers. Towels, kettle, tea, television and restaurants are available easily. It’s a lovely village and it’s enough distance from the old street to bypass all of the food scents you’re going to taste. The breakfast was traditional Chinese. I highly suggest visiting the café at the wooden Ecological museum and also the coffee shop next door. There’s many side streets which offer unique charm as well. There’s a vegan pizzeria in (Letaoli in Shop) a few minutes away and there’s many stores to go browse through. Stop was super friendly and the views from the upper floor or amazing. There’s a lovely farm to walk to and a ton of temples. As a foreigner, I felt very welcome and everyone was quite friendly in the area. Many kind families within.
AAl Jane Achuela TolentinoWe enjoyed our stay even for a while. The staffs are friendly and accommodating, they can speak in english which is favorable for us. The room is clean and organized. It’s been raining the whole time yet we are still able to go outside the city proper just because the location is very mych accessible. We did enjoy soaking ul in the pool at night too. The night market is just a few meters away and we went there for some foodtrip. If have the chance we will definitely come back.
AaaronkingdomThe hotel is located next to the Taoyuan international airport, however its not walkable to the hotel. The hotel do provide free shuttle bus to/from the airport and hotel. You will find the shuttle bus stop and bus stop #7 where all the other city buses are located. The only advantage of its location is if you're taking a early morning flight or landing in at late night hours and you're just looking for a place to get some sleep and travel the next day. Because there is nothing else around the hotel besides the airport. the nearest eatery or convenient store would be back at the airport terminals. That what I did, I took the shuttle bus back to the airport terminals to eat and brough some drinks. My room was fairly clean but there were carpet stains and the carpet seems old. service was on par, and facilities has everything a 4 star Hyatt would have. Room size was large so is the bathroom. there were no shower door so I didnt get that design because the water is going out to the bathroom floor. I only stayed for 1 night as a layover so It didnt bother me that the bathroom floor was wet after I shower since I will be on my way afterwards. Now lets talk about price, EXPENSIVE! By Asia standard the price I paid I could've stayed at a premium 5 star hotel in a downtown area. I paid 165 USD for the night. again I didn't have a better choice since I have to be back at the airport for my early morning flight. So the night at the hotel served its purpose but pricey for the stay.
SSeow Hong TcheauLocation is near to the airport. Room was spacious, bright and very clean. Shower and toilet area even came with a tub. Staff was polite, thoughtful and efficient. Advised us on timing for cab pick up to airport by considering morning traffic while ensuring we had enough time for breakfast. Staff ensured that our luggage was dropped off and picked up right at our doorstep.
Breakfast was a good spread and it was prepared and ready on the dot. We appreciated this as we had to rush off to the airport immediately after.
There is even a private garage. It's a pity we didn't get to benefit from it as we've already dropped off our rental car before check in. The only negative is that we had to carry our luggage up the stairs as there was no lift access. But this was understandable as the garage was on the ground floor and the room is on the first floor.
Would definitely consider this place again if the price remains competitive in future.
GGuest UserI wish motorcycles could also be parked in the parking garage. Many owners, whether of cars or motorbikes, prefer their vehicles to be sheltered from the sun and rain. I hope the hotel can address this. Otherwise, everything else was excellent.
DDreamyJovsMy husband and I stayed at Taoyuan City Suites and overall, we had a great experience. Since I had almost 30kg of baggage, we decided to take a taxi from Taoyuan Airport Terminal 1 instead of taking the train. The ride was quick and convenient, costing only NT$180, which was worth it considering the heavy luggage.
Check-in was smooth and fast. However, I think it would be even better if the reception staff could be a little warmer and more welcoming with smiles to make guests feel more comfortable. That said, they communicate well in English, which made the whole process hassle-free.
For dining, since there aren’t many food options around the area, my husband and I decided to avail of their buffet dinner, which runs from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The food was delicious and definitely worth it! Special thanks to the Filipina staff who assisted us — she was very accommodating and always smiling. We really appreciate how smart and attentive she was. At first, she spoke to us professionally in English, matching the language we used, but she quickly sensed we were Filipinos and made us feel very welcome. Ate, if you’re reading this — thank you so much, and we hope to see you again when we come back!
The hotel accepts credit card payments for accommodations, but if you book a taxi through them, you’ll need to pay the driver in cash (NT$200). It’s convenient since they also help arrange transportation for guests.
Since the hotel is only about 10 minutes away from the airport, you can expect to hear some airplane noise. However, during our stay, my husband and I didn’t have any trouble sleeping and weren’t disturbed by the sound at all.
Overall, we had a comfortable and satisfying stay at Taoyuan City Suites. The location is very convenient, especially for travelers with early flights since it’s close to Taoyuan Airport. We’ll definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing, and accessible place near the airport.
