Lovely, family owed hotel just outside Tarifa. Beautiful room, light, airy and spotlessly clean. Had a balcony with stunning views over countryside. Huge bathroom, air-con, small fridge and everything I could need for a short break visiting family. The pool area is secluded and peaceful and I noticed a small gym room with gym equipment and weights - but I didn't feel the need to try it out! The restaurant is a beautiful room and we had a very reasonably priced, delicious evening meal with very friendly and helpful waitress. It was disappointing that the restaurant wasn't busier - it certainly deserves to be but perhaps it was the time of year or a well kept secret. The hotel felt very safe as a solo female traveller and has an air of calm and relaxation. This will definitely be my first choice when I visit family again - hopefully soon.

Meson de Sancho has quite an unimpressive exterior and you could be forgiven for driving by. However the interior is nicely decorated although the front lobby feels more like walking into a women’s dress shop than a hotel. We stayed here as part of the Plymouth-Dakar Rally. The rooms are spacious with excellent beds and we had a balcony. The outside pool in January was out of use. The staff were very friendly and the food was very reasonable. It is well situated for visiting Tariffa or Gibraltar as well as a convenient stopover for catching the ferries from Algeciras which is 15 minutes down the road.

All very clean and very nice people. The place has so much to offer. The place really had us surprised. Great facilities. Very calm and relax. A place to disconnect and to be away from everything. Great views , a feel like home experience

This is not the Costa del Sol (sorry, Claudia) so it's much more than just a typical tourist hotel for a coachload of Brits. It helps if you can't try to meet them half-way with some Spanish (it's in Spain, you know :o) Right on the main (N-340) road but charming and quiet once you're inside. Rooms very adequate, with tea/coffee making, which they don't mention. The extremely floral grounds must be stunning earlier in the year but still handsome, even in September. Any restaurant that serves smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast for breakfast gets my approval. Half board menu a bit repetitive but that would be my only criticism (B&B and you'd never know). A real gem. Muchas gracias.

Loved this hotel, friendly helpful staff, very comfortable and inviting. Lovely room and terrace. Food was amazing, great brekkie, and dinner was just fab, best fish I’ve had so far. Will definitely stay again!

We stayed for two nights. Despite having a confirmed booking on arrival this was denied by the staff. Fortunately I had the confirmation email. We were part of a larger group - all of whom had pre booked - and the hotel didn’t have sufficient staff to cope. The restaurant was good. Our housekeeper brought us an extra blanket as the nights were cold. We were grateful and very comfortable. Ideally located for the ferry crossing to Morocco.

After I did a reservation I tried contact the hotel 5!! times with no answer from them They just ignored my quests and I already paid so I couldn’t cancel And when I finally succeed to contact Them they had no wiling to help

Lying directly off the main road into Tarifa, you can quickly drive past this hotel. Located in the countryside, it’s setting is relaxing. There was road noise during the day which we didn’t find intrusive , but traffic overnight is almost nonexistent. Our room was across the road from the main hotel. An underground pathway ensures guests can cross safely. Our room was based in an area with an outdoor pool a few steps from our door ( not the main pool which is very big and behind the main hotel building ). The small pool was surrounded by orange trees and lots of greenery. The noise from people at the pool was not disturbing . Each room has a small private shaded outdoor courtyard, where you can sit and relax with a glass of your own wine, or anything else you have with you. The rooms were simple, comfortable and had all the amenities you need for a hotel stay. Staff were helpful and very efficient. This hotel accepts dogs and the covered courtyard I mentioned was the perfect place for our old Mastin cross to sleep for a few hours in the late afternoon sunshine. We will certainly return.
