We recently stayed at Beaufort Lodge in Taunton while visiting to watch the cricket, and it was an absolute delight. The location is superb, just a short stroll from all the local shops, restaurants, and amenities, which made everything so convenient, especially the cricket. The property itself is decorated beautifully in keeping with its period style, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. It has clearly been cared for with a lot of thought and attention. Richard was an excellent host, and nothing was ever too much trouble, he made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. A perfect choice for anyone visiting Taunton, and we would happily return. We have just spent a lovely weekend in Taunton. Having booked late we are so pleased to have found such a great hotel - walking distance to restaurants & off-street parking a big bonus. Our room (room 1) was clean & comfortable with a lovely large bathroom. Richard kindly helped with restaurant recommendations which we took his advice on and thoroughly enjoyed….thank you! We will definitely be back & have recommended you to my family when they come down to visit my sister who lives 25mins outside Taunton.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Taunton! From the moment we arrived at Beaufort Lodge, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The warmth and hospitality shown by Richard was second to none. The guest house itself is spotless, full of charm, and beautifully maintained. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and had every comfort you could want, from crisp, clean linen to a delicious selection of teas and coffees and a cafetiere. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we both slept like logs! The location is absolutely fantastic too, just a short walk from the town centre, but far enough away to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing night’s sleep. The free off-road parking was also a bonus. All in all, Beaufort Lodge is a real home-from-home, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We’ll definitely be back!

Recently stayed for the second time at this property. However, the second time gave me a real chance to see what the establishment is really like as the first time, I arrived late and left early next day…. The owner is never around and again sends a message before arrival advising a family member has passed away. Clearly this is an auto message designed to MISLEAD guests upon check in as received exactly the same message on the first time I checked in.. Very weird set up indeed. Also there a scruffy homeless man living in the shed in the back garden who blasts the TV until early hours. It’s a glorified Doss house / half way house. Also smells of **** all the time, maybe growing in the basement in in the garden with the homeless man… in the rooms the towels were never changed and faeces stains on the bed sheets.
