Premier Inn Taunton East

This hotel has to be one of the best my wife, Margo and I have ever stayed in. Basic rooms but friendly pleasant. Meals are served at the Beefeater White Lodge. Staff are very friendly and make you feel as though your a friend. The meals were absolutely exquisite, par excellence. Breakfast was perfect. The White Lodge catered for literally all tastes. Steak was cooked to perfection as were the fish and chips. I need to give a big massive shout out to the Beefeater staff. Roxanne, Ruby, Lottie, Claire and Kate. I didn't get chef's name but I did meet him and told him how much I enjoyed his meals. Car park is big and free. ASDA superstore in easy flat walking distance and main centre just a bit further. Blue light is accepted on meal only. There is so much to love at this hotel and the Beefeater inn. We'll be back in Summer I'm sure.

Great place to stop over. Check in ladies friendly and efficient. Very clean rooms and super comfy beds with extra pillows. Tea & coffee tray very welcome and the TV is a good size. The Pub next door serves great food and the breakfast in the morning is great. This is my second time visiting and I will continue to use.

We have stayed in many Premier Inn's including Taunton East before and you generally know what you are getting, however, on this occasion we found the room to be very poor. There was mould and dirt in most corners of the room, on the window and the paintwork and furniture had definitely seen better days! The bathroom was equally as poor with lots of mould on the tiles and grouting etc. The room we stayed in needs a lot of work to make you want to stay there! Would add plenty of photos but site not accepting any images

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Sarah with a lovely smile.She was very helpfull & nothing was too much trouble. Lovely clean room on the ground floor. Bed was comfy. Had a lovely sleep. Would stay again. Town was a short drive away.

The hotel was lovely, clean and quiet. I loved the walk in shower and the bed was really comfy. The receptionist was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I was impressed by the security aspect and that you needed your room key to enter the main corridor to the rooms

Hotel is quite run down. The Reception area (if you can call it that) is far from inviting. We had a twin room and it was small with a postage stamp for a bathroom. Room was freezing when we entered but heater warned it up fairly quickly. Carpets did not look great. The lamp on the bedroom table was full of cobwebs yeugh! and Wi-Fi was rubbish. Dinner in the restaurant next door was fine. Staff were great and very friendly. Breakfast next morning was a shambles. Most of the items had completely run out, bacon was fatty and needed cooking with all other remaining items cold. I hated helping myself to coffee too as workmen stay in the hotel and that creates a bottleneck for drinks. All in all it’s ok for one night which is what we stayed for but this is definitely a more rundown miserable Premier Inn which lacked any warmth whatsoever. I wouldn’t return.
