The hotel environment is good, but because we checked in late, we did not have time to enjoy the lake view. If two families can stay, it is ok. It is not safe to stay in a private home with few people. The host is very particular and does not allow guests to relax and feel uncomfortable. When the guests cook something to eat, the host has opinions. It is recommended to stay in a hotel instead of a private hotel when traveling.

完全不是酒店，就是個山上的民宿。解析也沒説要和房東住在一起。給的房間就是3個房間中的一個。就是欺騙消費者。因為房東一直在客廳，居住起來比較尷尬等於衹使用了房間功能。提供的早餐也是牛奶泡麥片，沒有説不好，衹是和想象的早餐差別太大。也沒有攻擊房東的意思。房東人很好。這居然要1200，這是我新西蘭居住過最差的地方。

Really enjoyed our stay at Lochvista. Fantastic views in a peaceful part of NZ. Close to town but far enough away to feel like you are in a world of your own. Host Phil is full of knowledge for those that are new to the area. I think I will come back so worth a stay.

Nice quiet place!, some minutes from the crowded village Te Anau. We visited Phil‘s Loch Vista for two nights, he welcomed us warmly and had good recommendations for Dinner and also recommended to go and see the Milford Sound presentation movie in the Te Anau Cinema. Good breakfast. We enjoined the visit and feeding of his only sheep on the green! (Named Shrek?) Peter and Susan Switzerland

We had a great stay with Phil. He was a gracious host and introduced us to his pet sheep, Chubby, who was adorable! Phil gave us great dining recommendations and provided us with a delicious breakfast the next morning. The house is up on a hill with beautiful water views. Highly recommend staying here.

A very comfortable place to stay with a beautiful view just a few minutes out of Te Anau and well worth the drive. Host Phil made great suggestions and was a pleasure to spend time with. An easy place to relax with other guests or on your own. Only wishlist item - the room's patio door is the only source of fresh air & it would be nice to have a way to leave it safely open partway while sleeping & a screendoor to stop bugs.

Why sell us what we won't have? The location is magnificent and the accommodation is nicely decorated. But we must not be led to believe that the accommodation is a haven of peace, when heavy work is underway and the so-called “private” terrace is dedicated to 6 bedrooms. And when someone settles in, the rooms which open onto the terrace are immediately impacted since it is no longer possible to keep the curtains open, nor to be quiet (you would think that the guests are in the room ). And then why ask us to make reservations at the restaurant (70 dollars between/main course or 85 for starter/main course/dessert - it's correct but it's not worth that price!) while failing to tell us that a collective kitchen is available. arrangement ? In short, we are on the verge of lying and the rooms are closer to youth hostel level than those of a hotel. So it's way too expensive for what it is. To ban

This motto really is the motto here in Loch Vista. Phil really opens his home to his guests. We felt very comfortable during the 5 days we stayed here. This accommodation is characterized by warmth, interest in its guests and expert tips for excursions in the area. We particularly enjoyed the view of Lake Te Anau and the mountains.
