We had an amazing time with our young family. Stay in the main building but also we stay in the bell tent for the first time. Children have a great time making fire outside. The only things they complaint about is they felt cold in the morning as wood fire is off hours before.

Lovely hostel in a great location near the sea. Clean kitchens and communal areas. Room was basic but clean and comfortable. Very good value for money.

I would love to have actually stayed in this youth hostel this summer. I had such happy memories there. But can you imagine it, a youth hostel that’s cheapest prices are £100/ a night. Why? Because they no longer do dorm rooms in this and many other hostels. You have to rent out a whole dorm, with multiple beds, even if you are travelling solo or in pairs. I thought making the countryside open and available to the independent and low income was the whole point of youth hostels. I am so sad to this part of the countryside is cut off to people like me on low incomes, who are not hardy enough to carry tents, or adventurous travelers who don’t travel in large groups. I used to meet many youth hostellers from Europe who on a budget would explore an area like Pembrokeshire, moving from hostel to hostel, dorm room to dorm room. Goodbye to those days and opening up our beautiful island to travellers on a budget who love the great outdoors.😭

Had a fantastic time staying in the bell tent. Campsite was clean and well maintained. The tent was spotless and beds and bedding very clean. The wood burner inside the tent was lovely and kept us warm all night. Check-in staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. We had food in the cafe/bar in the evening which was nice and the live music was entertaining. The evening bar staff were very efficient and our food arrived freshly cooked and our table cleared once we’d finished. Plenty of room to roam around the campsite itself and the tents were well spread out unlike other campsites we’ve stayed at. The toilet and shower block was kept clean. Check-in is at 5pm which we felt was quite late and check-out was 10am so time at the accommodation itself felt somewhat limited as a result of this. It would have been nice to have the afternoon to enjoy the fire pit and the tent itself a bit more (because it was so lovely!) There’s a footpath directly to the beach which we enjoyed. Overall, a fantastic stay and we will certainly be returning for another trip here!

We stayed in the airstream with our dogs and it was lovely, well decorated, cosy at night and nice with the windows open in the day. Great sea views, we enjoyed breakfast at the hostel and tea too. Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere, plus close to the coastal paths. Would recommend!

The site was lovely and very quiet. The cafe staff were lovely and so was the food we ordered. Check in was very slow and would have benefited from two members of staff. We stayed one night which I was glad about as the landlord was not great. Before we got in two beers bottles were left open on porch from previous people The land pod was covered with cobwebs and a few spiders inside and had not been wiped over for a long time. The only thing done was a new bin bag and clean bedding. I even found a crushed pecan nut in the sleeping area with fur on it. Luckily I packed wet wipes and after 15 mins we managed to clean the worst of the webs. The land pod was basic but cosy, which we expected but not a sealed unit with a large gap under the door for bugs to get in. Eek! The bedrooms were very small ( but we knew they were small doubles) however for anyone slightly larger it would be uncomfortable as the back sleeping area where my husband and I slept my nose was practically against the wall and was very clostophobic! It was well insulated and warm inside but the sides did lift quite frequently with the strong winds. This was in July so must be very loud in winter!

Booked 2 nights in a bell tent with two teenagers and had the most amazing time. The bell tent was great (with its own bench and firepit - faculties basic, but clean and well fitted out kitchen area. Didn’t eat there, but menu looked good. Fabulous setting…..highly recommended
