Tenby House

Tried to book in on the evening as everywhere else was fully booked (doesn’t say much for this one ) Told couldn’t pay at till had to use booking platform. Went on to platform only to be told no one in hotel office so couldn’t book this way either. We had the money, they had the only rooms available and as a result we had to leave Tenby . Don’t waste your time !!!!

Great pub right in the centre of Tenby. I’ve never stayed here so can’t comment on the accommodation but we’ve called in here a few times during recent visits to Tenby. It’s always busy which I think is a good sign, but it always has plenty of staff who are friendly and seem used to the chaos. Great portion sizes and have never waited long for our food which has always been lovely. Cute beer garden and small arcade out the back.

Never saw such language at sign in. “At your own risk” galore. Scared me a little. Then walked outside to the side of the pub in the courtyard to enter. Security situation was concerning. Carpet was horrid. Hallway unpleasant smelling. Decor was sooo depressing. Never slept in a place where the “art”/mirrors were bolted to the walls. Bathroom was dated and poor in appearance-tho apparently clean. Very difficult to turn the shower spigot on the wall of the tub. Tiny tv. Room 210 view was not good. Lack of breakfast was a problem as we could not find a cafe open earlyish. The good: you are literally in the middle of everything.

I cannot recommend the tenby house enough for food we had food here last night and it was so delicious that we came back again tonight and we certainly was not disappointed. The prices and portion sizes were 5 star and when we come back in October we certainly will be coming back.

We have come to tenby for a few days with our 10 year old daughter and we ventured in here for a drink and food on a rainy and windy day. I just had to leave a review as was so impressed with the friendly staff, and the food was absolutely amazing. Although I thought the prices were a bit on the expensive side, being in such a tourist place and in the heart of tenby town it was also expected. Once we had eaten the amazing food we didn't mind paying the money. Would recommend this place very highly.

I have been to Tenby many times before, but this is the first time I have been here and it won’t be the last! A fantastic bar/ restaurant, plenty of sports and a fantastic olde world decor. The staff are good the log fire is great and the food is honest pub grub (with a bit extra )
