Located just before Lake Mashu, it was just the right distance to see the red-crowned cranes, the Kushiro Marshlands, and Cape Kiritappu after arriving at Kushiro Airport from Haneda. The owners welcomed us kindly, and we had delicious dinner and breakfast amidst a natural interior. We were able to see the stars at night, and even had our photo taken with the Big Dipper. We applied for a plan that included tickets to Kawayu Onsen, so we went there the next morning. As we are sumo fans, we also enjoyed the nearby Taiho Museum. After that, we went to Mount Iou and Lake Mashu. After making the reservation, we received travel advice from the owner, and the number of places we visited increased. Highly recommended.

We stayed for two nights from November 6th. Perhaps because it was the off-season, there were no other guests and we practically had the place to ourselves (^-^; The owners were very friendly and even acted as our travel concierge (*^^*) The two mascot cats (Kiki and Kuma-chan) were also very cute and soothing - this is an irresistible inn for cat lovers 🐈 In the morning, you can birdwatch as the birds peck at food from the dining room 🐦 The meals were plentiful and delicious (^-^) And best of all, we were able to see a starry sky (so impressive!) The husband gave us advice on photography and a lecture on starry skies. There is a vast expanse of pastureland surrounding the pension, so you can see the sunrise The windows in the room are large and you just want to stare blankly at this view forever - it's especially perfect for people who are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city! This is the kind of inn it is. I would like to visit again in a different season.

I stayed there with my wife, who is disabled on her right side. - Separate bathroom with washing area - (Even if there is a washing area, it is in the same space as the toilet, so the area around the toilet gets wet and uncomfortable) - The shower toilet is in the right corner of the toilet space, and the position of the handle is convenient - (If the toilet is on the left side of the toilet space, the wall handle will be opposite your left hand, which means you will have to sit or stand in an awkward position) - The sink in the toilet space can be moved closer so you can wash your face while remaining in your wheelchair (In many places it is too small to fit your feet or knees under the sink) I would like to stay for a few nights and take a leisurely stroll around the neighbourhood.

The clean and spacious rooms had a magnificent view from the windows, and the food, made with plenty of Hokkaido ingredients, was delicious. At night, the owner guided us under the twinkling starry sky and the soft Milky Way. He also told us about the constellations and gave us some photos taken with his high-performance camera. The next morning, we were moved by the sea of ​​clouds over Lake Mashu. Dawn came earlier than we expected, and thanks to the owner couple's advice, we arrived at the perfect time. We really enjoyed our trip to Hokkaido. This is a highly recommended inn!
