Polaris

We stayed for two nights from November 6th. Perhaps because it was the off-season, there were no other guests and we practically had the place to ourselves (^-^; The owners were very friendly and even acted as our travel concierge (*^^*) The two mascot cats (Kiki and Kuma-chan) were also very cute and soothing - this is an irresistible inn for cat lovers 🐈 In the morning, you can birdwatch as the birds peck at food from the dining room 🐦 The meals were plentiful and delicious (^-^) And best of all, we were able to see a starry sky (so impressive!) The husband gave us advice on photography and a lecture on starry skies. There is a vast expanse of pastureland surrounding the pension, so you can see the sunrise The windows in the room are large and you just want to stare blankly at this view forever - it's especially perfect for people who are tired of the hustle and bustle of the city! This is the kind of inn it is. I would like to visit again in a different season.

My family and I stayed here during the summer holidays. We thoroughly enjoyed the abundant nature, scenery, and delicious food, all while being soothed by the hospitality of the owners, their husband and wife, and their cats, Kuma-kun and Kiki-chan. At night, the owners led us to stargazing, and we were given a photo as a gift. The room was very comfortable, with attention to detail and a clean look. Apparently you can also see Japanese long-tailed tits in the nearby woods, so we'd like to come back in the winter next time. Thank you very much.

The clean and spacious rooms had a magnificent view from the windows, and the food, made with plenty of Hokkaido ingredients, was delicious. At night, the owner guided us under the twinkling starry sky and the soft Milky Way. He also told us about the constellations and gave us some photos taken with his high-performance camera. The next morning, we were moved by the sea of ​​clouds over Lake Mashu. Dawn came earlier than we expected, and thanks to the owner couple's advice, we arrived at the perfect time. We really enjoyed our trip to Hokkaido. This is a highly recommended inn!

This is a beautiful and calming pension in the middle of nature. I think it's a good idea not to have a TV. The room was clean, and from the window you can see a wide green field and a forest typical of Hokkaido in the distance. In winter, you can see the footprints of the red fox, so I would like to go in that season as well. The food was made with local ingredients and was very filling and delicious. We had given up on seeing the stars because of the cloudy sky, but after the meal, when we were playing with the cat for a while, the clouds cleared and we went stargazing in the pitch black. In the sky full of stars, we were told the names of the constellations and stars, and we could even see the space station. My family, who loves groves, enjoyed walking through Polaris Forest. They gave us advice on the weather for the next day, things to see, and places to eat in Kushiro, and they also prepared materials for us. It was very helpful. As we don't have a car, we took the JR to Mashu Station and took a taxi for about 2,600 yen.
