. Staying at Ginger Thane was certainly... memorable. Calling this hotel 'older than Thane City' might actually be an understatement! The lack of a proper entrance, coupled with the ongoing construction that wasn't mentioned anywhere on the Tata Group's website, made for an interesting arrival. Imagine navigating an unlit construction zone just to find the reception on the first floor, accessible only via a rather narrow staircase. The reception area itself felt cramped, offering barely enough space to stand. And then there's the elevator – a true test of dexterity, requiring all four limbs just to keep the doors open long enough to hop in! The room presented its own set of quirks. The AC unit, positioned a good six feet from the bed and pointed directly at the wall, made for a rather ineffective cooling experience. Apparently, the solution is to run both the AC and the fan simultaneously. The bathroom wasn't much better, featuring a broken and stained toilet seat held together with adhesive. Finally, a simple task like turning off the lights at night became an expedition, as the only switch was located at the working desk, far from the bed. While I appreciate the Tata Group's ventures, this particular stay at Ginger Thane fell significantly short of expectations due to the unannounced construction, accessibility issues, and the general state of the room.
