Excellent Inn with good food and good accommodation . We were well looked after by the hosts Deane and Rob. Both the room and the pub were well appointed , clean and warm. Food was good pub food cooked to order with generous portions. Good range of beers and wines. Large car park outside so no problem parking. Good value (booking online is cheaper!) pub well managed by friendly hosts. 5 Stars from me.

Fantastic Sunday Dinner and the home made deserts are to die for. Exclent friendly service, couldn't do enough for us. Have been a number of times and the food is delicious ever time. Well worth a visit, gets busy, so I advise, ring and book a table well before your visit. 😋❤️ Can't wait to go again.

We arrived at the pub carpark and the dog was sat outside as we approached the pub it came to us we had a small child of 2 yrs being carried and was concerned about the dog as it was following us we went to a table and the dog was still with us still concerned about the dog as it seemed to be gravitating to our child we asked the landlord if it was friendly and he replied which dog we then asked if he sold food and had a rude remark of course he replied we asked if the dog would leave our table and his remark was it lives here and I replied well we are customers and left with the SHEEPDOG circling us. it was not a nice experience for our daughter and child would never go there again have never known such a strange place I have nothing against dogs and it is the old story of dog owners oh no it is friendly tell that to a small child when it is at the same height as you also I don't want to eat dinner with someone else's dog. shame it looked a lovely pub

The welcome and service was great but the meal we had was very mediocre. I had the steak and ale pie and the meat in it was quite tough like it hadn't been cooked long enough, the puff pastry lid was nice and there was plenty of gravy. The seasonal veg was very bland and limp looking. My husband had the fisherman's basket which was a mix of squid, prawns and fish bites which he said was OK. We both chose chips and these were nice. I had sticky toffee pudding for dessert and whilst it was nice it was just a plain sponge and didn't have any dates in it which is the traditional recipe. Hubby had New York style cheesecake which again was OK. All in all the staff were very pleasant but the meal was disappointing which is a shame as it is a nice pub!

We ate here a few times before covid not been since so first outing in awhile . Still a fab pub with lovely food good prices good atmosphere recommend anytime thanks staff efficient and friendly and a lovely dog called Shaun so sweet . Really enjoyed our visit will be back again

Last minute booking, will 100% recommend this place, friendly welcoming staff that go above and beyond no matter the time of day! After a fair few hours of driving this is what we needed to be welcomed with open arms and a drink at the ready. Will definitely be returning in the future!
