Party in the huts near by disturbed our possibility to enjoy tje glamping and sleeping. When we went to breakfast the reains of the party where all over the place where we walked into the breakfast area.

Was hoping for a nice outdoorsy adventure on a budget and this place looked the part. Unfortunately, the travel costs to get to and from this place almost triple the cost. Took a lot of time as well in which we could have been doing other things. The bus broke down and then they debated whether we could bring our bags - strange stuff.

The place was great with the glamping site being clean and facilities reasonable. However, our experience was spoilt by a rowdy crowd that was shouting, talking loudly and playing music until late in the night making it impossible to sleep. There should be some ground rules about this.

This was absolutely perfect for hiking one of the most beautiful hikes in the world, the fimmvörðuháls trail! Managing logistics was difficult but Pauline, who works at the huts, was extremely helpful and not only helped to make arrangements, but made sure everything went smoothly. We stayed in the private rooms and they were great for what we needed. We peaked in the glamping tents and they looked very nice! We went across the river multiple times and it was crazy fun. Everything about this trip was crazy fun and beautiful!

We stopped in one of the glamping tents for 2 nights. We were concerned that it might be cold, but there was a little electric heater which kept the tent lovely and warm all the time. The staff were really friendly, when we arrived the dining area was really full but they found us a table from nowhere. The food was OK, nothing special, but this is basically a camp site. The dinner was better than the breakfast which was very limited. The showers were always really warm. The walks and views around were excellent.

The glamping tent exceeded my expectations and lived up to the online photos. The mattress was comfortable. Clean sheets and towels were provided. There is an electric space heater with a fan, and extra outlets (EU-style) for charging your devices. Near the entrance a small sitting area offers two comfortable chairs and a table. In August, the inner screen door would offer a nice view and breeze but in July it was too cool and rainy to take advantage of it. Dinner at the restaurant was from a buffet with salad, soup, meat, fish, sides, and a vegetarian entree option as well. We did not go away hungry. Both cash and credit cards are accepted. There is a tip jar for the mostly young and eager staff, with no option to tip if you pay by card. We observed an international crowd of diners including both Icelanders and foreigners. Don't get me started on the sitting pool and sauna. At reception they tried to lower our expectations ("it's not hot, more warm") but they still didn't do it justice. The pool is an 8-inch deep luke-warm puddle (probably 70 F on the day we visited, which was admittedly much warmer than the air temperature). The sauna was out of order.

This is a beautiful location and the tents are really nice and comfortable. Best outdoor sleep in a long time. The camping area however is quite boring. The hot bath is awful and the sauna out of order. Cozy dining area with a cool hiking vibe. Dinner is ok but breakfast is simple and low quality.
