Really liked the place and had a good time despite some daft little things. The food is great and there are loads of nice, efficient staff. The place is a bit tired and has an odd layout with some of it freezing cold, even the bar area. Card machine sometimes didn't work and the sauna booking system is pointless but it's bang next to the lifts you want and has nice comfy beds.

I read alot of negative reviews of chalet alpina. I suspect people travelling to a high end resort such as tignes might also expect high end accomodation and therefore in some respects alpina could be found lacking. For my pennies worth I think the accomodation is 2 star (small rooms, tired and basic but servicable), the food is 3 star (hearty pub grub) and the location is 4 star (easy 5 mins walk from the lifts). If you book on this understanding you will not be disappointed. Would recommend.

Came last ski season and it was perfect for us so we came again this year. The two bed apartment works well for us. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good selection of tasty and healthy food. The location is fantastic, really close to the ski lifts and the bars yet it is very quiet. The swimming pool and sauna although not fancy are a real bonus!

I was worried when we were coming here by the bad reviews but although it isn't as plush as the hotel diva next door (where we stayed last year) we had a great stay and think this is great value for money. The rooms were warm and very clean. 3 beds with the third bed separated by a door in the hall/bathroom area. No problems with the showers/hot water. Nice big fridge and kitchenette (but take your own kettle and hairdryer). Beds a little small (might be an issue if you are above average size) but comfortable enough. The pool and sauna were lovely and we had them to ourselves most days. Ski lockers only for skis but boots dried fine each evening in the room. The food was fantastic for breakfast and dinner. Generally a meat, fish and vegetable choice each evening for mains along with lovely salad options, soup, cakes and ice-cream selection. Thanks all at the hotel for a fab stay and if we come back to tignes next year we will definately be back with you!

Appalling in every aspect. Staff unhelpful and rude, food disgusting, Crystal ski reps were rude and useless, room completely unsuitable for number of people booked into them and a complete health hazard with plugs hanging from the wall and a microwave balanced above a Childs bed. Overall absolutely disgusting. I have never left a review on a hotel before but this place is beyond a joke. I think there is a reason there are no reviews since 2019, everyone we spoke to were disgusted with this place so I suspect the reviews are being removed.

The hotel is in a very poor state. For the whole week there were buckets in the bar to catch the water leaking through the ceiling. In our room there were no toiletries and when we complained, the receptionist went to a local shop to buy us some shampoo. They said that they were having problems with their suppliers. There was no toilet brush at first. The room wasn't cleaned for days until we told them. The plunger for the toilet was hanging loose (that was the same in all the toilets). There was no place to put your ski boots in the locker room. You had to keep them in your room. Before we arrived, we had tried to call the hotel to ask about getting a taxi there but no one ever answered the phone. The girls at the reception were nice, as were most of the staff but the man on reception was rude and arrogant. The food was OK. I would not recommend this hotal in the slightest.

We were worried having read some of the reviews and upon arrival our room was not ready at the 5pm check in time, which was disappointing after a very long journey. The first impression of the hotel was that it was dilapidated and frankly needs a lot of TLC. The room was tiny, with no where to put the cases other than on the second bed that we were not using. The bathroom was terrible, with a toilet seat that would not stay open and a shower head that did not stay attached to the holder, leading to it falling on your head/feet during the shower. The ski lockers are not good. They are in an unheated corridor, which was so cold that our bindings were still iced up the next morning! There are no boot driers, which made for unpleasant damp feet each morning as even in the room they did not dry out overnight. However, it wasn't all bad. The room was warm and the water in the rubbish shower was at least hot. The food was the real star of the show and was far better than we had expected from the rest of the place. The location is excellent, right near the lifts. Overall, if you are planning on being out skiing all day and are just looking for a bed and a good meal in a great location then this place is just about ok.

We have just spent a week at Chalet Alpina whilst skiing. We were slightly concerned about staying here from reading previous reviews but were pleasantly suprised about how good everything was. There was plenty of food and choice each day including a salad bar, several different desserts, cheeses and fruit. There was a fish option each night and a vegetarian option. We didn't have a single bad meal all week. There were also gluten free options and soya milk at breakfast. The room we were in was quite small but there are bigger rooms available. However as we are there to go skiing and not to sit in our room all day this wasn't a problem in the slightest. The rooms were clean, very warm, the beds comfy, there was always hot water and they were serviced everyday. The hotel is in an ideal situation with just a 5 minute walk to the lifts. Staff in the hotel were all very polite and helpful. Ski lockers were provided for each room to securely store your skis, but there is no heated boot rack so we just took our boots up to our room.
