Stayed here last minute after NASCAR. No wonder hotel was the only hotel that still had availability within an hour radius from the event. I get there to check in and wait around for 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. Nothing. The owner then approaches me, asks if I’m checking out to which I let him know I’m checking in and asked if he worked there. He said no (twice) and promptly walked into an employees only door down the hall, lol. Waited around for another 10 minutes, called 3 times and finally decided to give up. I got back in my car and said owner was STARING at me through the entrance door for 5 straight minutes. Not only was he rude but straight up creepy I kept waving and he stood there, staring, no emotion. Seriously gave me the creeps as a young woman, I had to have two males escort me to the room later on in the night. Also, the place is downright nasty. I was in an out of there real quick.

The only good thing about this hotel is the young lady that checked us in on Friday September 29, 2023 was very nice and she was extremely polite. Check out was extremely different, there was no one behind the counter and a man sitting in the lobby talking on the phone snapped and yelled at my wife to just leave the key on the counter. The room was hard to get into the door was swollen up top, the floors where clean, the furniture is outdated and the mattresses are past their shelf life along with the pillows. One of the beds had someone’s HAIRS ON THE SHEET along with something else (not sure what it was some little black things). The door that went out onto the balcony would open. There was what appeared to be coffee stains on the bathroom wall and the shower head was built up with a lot off crud and deposits so we didn’t take a shower there. The grout work in the bathroom and in floor is all falling apart. The finish work on the tiles throughout the room and bathroom is extremely poor. Did The in room coffee is horrible and only decaffeinated. The pool was not open and the overall outside appearance is run down. We did not try there so called breakfast because we where unable to take a shower due to cleanliness of the shower head. If you are going to charge similar rates to Boston then you need to step up the quality of your hotel. We paid way to much for the quality we received.

My letter to Choice Hotels: I am writing to your corporation to let you know what type of establishment your corporate name is attached to. I reserved this hotel online a couple of weeks before the date I wanted to stay. I thought it was a great value, good location and looked forward to our time there. The advertisement stated there was a fridge in the room as well as a pool. I am an insulin-dependent diabetic who needs to have my insulin refrigerated so this is an important feature for me. We went to the office and there was no one at the desk, so we waited a few moments and then a man appeared. I tried to show him my confirmation number and all he wanted was my id and credit card. He repeated that a couple of times. As we were checking in, his child (I’m assuming) kept talking to him and I felt very disrespected as here I am, a guest, trying to check in and the gentleman’s attention was elsewhere. Another thing I didn’t appreciate is when he told his child he was with a “customer”. Hmmm, I thought I was a guest, as no matter where else I have stayed (and I travel often) I have always been referred to as a guest. He asked me to sign the printout he created (I’m assuming this was part of the check-in process) but he didn’t provide a copy to me so that I can see what I was signing. I felt that was a little strange as well. He proceeded to tell us to “drive around back” to find our room. We did this and as we were walking down the hall to our assigned room we noticed a very musty smell. We also walked by a window which was overlooking the pool. I would NEVER have swam in that pool as I wasn’t sure if they properly cleaned or put the appropriate chlorine in it. Not one guest was in that area and for seating there were a couple plastic lawn chairs. I was not impressed! As we were walking down the hall, the floorboards underneath our feet creaked and felt very “springy” as though we were bouncing as we walked. We found our room and were EXTREMELY disappointed. It smelled of mold and was not clean. I knew I wasn’t going to sleep in that bed --- I would have rather slept in my car. I expected more for the $200 I paid! I’m not talking about amenities either – I mean just basic cleanliness and smell! I know “you get what you pay for” but my God. I would have said this was a $75 per night Super 8 rather than an EconoLodge. I just can’t believe your corporate name is associated with this hotel. I would be extremely embarrassed if my name was associate with it. As I stated, I wasn’t going to sleep in that room and there was no fridge provided for my insulin. My husband knew how upset I was so he took it upon himself to book a Hilton for the same amount of money so that I could have a place to stay where I would feel comfortable doing so. I’ve attached pictures so that you can see what your name is attached to. There were rotting boards under the door as we walked in. Is this safe? Maybe? The screen was broken and bugs were getting into the room. This is no

The pictures that the hotel posted are total lies. The facility is not well kept. Our room was mostly recently renovated but other rooms were not. I had to clean the filter in the AC unit because it was filthy. The windowsill behind the curtain was covered in dead insects. Just do not stay here.

This hotel is NOTHING like it looks on the Choice Hotels website. The property is a mess and the owner is rude and unaccommodating. The only thing that was okay was the inside of the room thankfully. The pictures show a tavern and pool, neither of which is open (the restaurant is filled with the family's junk). Don't even think to ask for an extra bath towel or you will be accused of smoking in your room and be charged $100. We needed the extra towel to put at the bottom of the door to keep the smell from the hallway out of our room. And if the batteries in the remote are low, you will be told no. This property needs to be assessed by corporate. If they want this hotel to be a representation of their properties they should do something about it.

The room was clean; towels more like dish towels(cheap/thin). As an independent, I watch all news channels but object to this motel blocking out selective new channels. And the TV signal using Direct TV was either weak or the TV poor since reception was awful; difficult to see tv screen images.
