AMBIANCE - Clean, modern, and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is complimentary and nice! STAFF - Nice and efficient. Brinda is one of the front desk staff members - she is super impressive. She's fast, intelligent, proactive, anticipates client needs quickly, professional, and just a nice person. She also knows how to manage difficult people and situations well. Every hotel needs a Brinda! She deserves promotion to manager. FOOD - Restaurant food can be nice, but they generally only serve South Indian food which can be very spicy hot! If you're a foreigner, bring antacid tablets. You'd be lucky to find better alternatives in the area. LOCATION - Very close to two prominent temples and accessible by ricksha / auto / taxi: Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple, and Jambukeswarar Temple. 15-20 minutes away from nearest railway station. CONS - The hotel employs full-time boys who are very young (approx 12-15) who should be in school. Their families have given their boys over to the hotel to work and thereby support their families. It's sad, but its also disturbing to see very young boys employed as cleaners and kitchen workers when instead they should be studying. Perhaps that is how things work in rural India in 2024, and I'm hopeful that local, state, and federal governments will change that.. so that every child goes through 100% of secondary / high school education at minimum before being eligible for employment.
