Taoya Shima

房間比較一般，但是其他公共設施還不錯！前台人員已經沒有以前還有的耐心啦！

夕食のバイキングの種類が豊富でよかったです。またお酒等のドリンクも飲み放題であり、地ビールや日本酒などが楽しめました。

We stayed here on the second night of our Ise-Shima trip. It was so hot that we gave up on outdoor activities and arrived at the hotel after 1pm, and decided to wait until check-in time. Check-in is at 2pm, and rooms can be used from 3pm, but we were able to check in temporarily despite the early hour, and were given a room key and waited in a cool place near the lobby. Since we were staying at another TAOYA, the Wi-Fi was naturally connected and we were able to use it, which was helpful. (You will be given an ID/PW when you check in.) From 2pm, you can eat and drink freely in the lounge, so you will spend an hour there before you can enter your room, but you can spend the time feeling like you are in a cafe in town. This facility is adjacent to Shirahama Beach, so guests are going back and forth between the beach and the hotel, and although the pool is closed, it is a very convenient location for families with children. You can also use the lounge at 2pm, which is very convenient. There is a half-open-air bath and an indoor one. You can relax in the panoramic bath with a full view of the sea. The drink service, including alcoholic beverages, after the bath is great, but since dinner was approaching, we kept it moderate. Dinner was a buffet restaurant with a wide variety of dishes, just as we expected, and we enjoyed many of the dishes we liked. We ate while saying "delicious, delicious." Personally, I liked the hand-kneaded sushi, a specialty of Ise-Shima. On the other hand, the grilled fish was just average. This may not be important to most people, but the refrigerator/freezer was a good thing. It was a hot day, so if you buy fresh produce as souvenirs, you'll be worried about how long it will take to get it home. I froze 500ml plastic bottles in the freezer, and since I always bring a fairly large cooler box with me, I used that. Most refrigerators don't even have ice compartments, so I was grateful. Another piece of information that may not be of much use, but the eastern end of the parking lot is in the shade in the morning. There are mountains? trees? along the road, so it was cool and avoiding direct sunlight from sunset when we checked out at 10am. Surprisingly? There were no cars parked around there, but this is important in summer when the parking lot is not underground.

I stayed with my family in late August 2023. Because my parents were confused, they gave me a triple room with two rooms next to each other, but one of the rooms smelled distinctly of the ocean, and as someone with a sensitive sense of smell, I felt uncomfortable in the room. . . I tried using the refreshing spray provided in the room and body soap in the bathtub to cover up the scent, but it didn't work at all. It was quite crowded that day as we were staying overnight on Friday. I didn't request a room change because I was living in the next room with my family, but I don't think I would want to stay there again. . . In the Oedo Onsen Monogatari series, it is named TAOYA, so I guess it is a bit of a high-end route. I thought so, but the facility is old and there are only a few elevators and the wait is long. When you ride it, it makes a disturbing creaking sound. There are many kinds of dishes, but to be honest, I was disappointed with the fishy salmon and sweet shrimp, even though it's Shima. I was very satisfied with the variety of alcoholic beverages and local beer available. Dinner was still good, but breakfast was generally frozen food for commercial use. There are many things that say. I couldn't shake the disappointing impression. Although it is an all-inclusive, I can't shake the feeling that some key points are disappointing. This was my first time staying at Oedo Onsen Monogatari, and I was disappointed considering the price. I had the impression that Kyukamura's was quite good.

We stayed in the corner deluxe room on the 5th floor. First of all, when I entered the room, the sea opened in front of me. The contrast between the blue sky and the sea was the best. Former Thalassa Shima, a former resort hotel, has a superb view. It has 2 large sofa beds and can accommodate up to 4 people. There is also a large window in the bath in the room, and although it is not a hot spring, you can enjoy the scenery while soaking in it. There was a water server, and cold water and hot water came out immediately, which was convenient. The hotel staff were all very polite. You can eat as much as you like at the buffet for dinner and breakfast. Because the sea is close, the sashimi is fresh and delicious. The omelet for breakfast is buttery and fluffy, and the surface is not burnt and is beautifully finished. It is as good as a 5 star hotel. There are only two elevators for about 120 rooms, so it is crowded during meal times and check-out times, and there is a limit on the number of people due to Corona, so there was a queue in front of the elevator hall. Therefore, although it was a very good hotel, I gave it a minus one. Because it is a hotel where you can relax, I would like to use it again.
