Villa Santa Cruz

Just retuned for my second visit to Villa Santa Cruz and even more blown away than my first time - the property is designed and programmed like a love letter to Baja, celebrating the entire region from its farm and insanely fresh and delicious food, to the ranchero lifestyle with its new onsite stables and equestrian program (plus the horses are rescues), and wellness offerings including ocean front sound baths that mix the vibrations from the earth and the waves with crystal singing bowls. We spent time with Victoria who takes care of the properties bees, and did an amazing beekeeping experience where we helped her feed and tend to the bees and was able to spot the queens! She’s amazing, and made our stay and our experience in the farm truly spectacular! The whole team is so kind, genuine and hospitable, Azu, Sara and Paul all took wonderful care of us. With its beachfront location and two stunning pools, plus epic lookouts from towers on both the beach and the farm, I don’t know a better spot to come to relax, be present and stir your soul with the true essence of Baja.

This small hotel is located in an absolutely fantastic location. Where could you find a beach where you walk for hours without any people? So it is a perfect escape for a quiet and relaxing time. The hotel is spread out in. Large garden. Two nice pools. All rooms are nice, but my preference is the tent directly on the oceanfront. You feel like being alone on the beach, listete the ocean and the waves. All staff members are. Er friendly and do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Also the manager is always there and takes good care of the guests. Food is very good. Breakfast ist great, lunch and diner as well. I must say, for me it was such a great time there, one of the most relaxing and unwinding place with such lovely staff. I can highly recommend this place.

A True Oasis in Baja Sur – Villa Santa Cruz Every year we return to Villa Santa Cruz, and somehow, it becomes even more magical. Matt and Jessica have poured their hearts into this place — and it shows. The love, hard work, and attention to detail make it feel like a tranquil oasis, tucked perfectly into the beauty of Todos Santos. The on-site restaurant, Caracara, is a true gem, serving up some of the freshest fish and meat in the region — every bite is a reminder of the richness of Baja’s coast and land. And to top it off? A handcrafted cocktail at The Green Room bar, watching the sunset melt into the Pacific… it doesn’t get better than that. Villa Santa Cruz is more than a resort — it’s a destination, an experience, and a labor of love. Can’t wait for next year!

As a travel advisor who specializes in boutique hotels, Villa Santa Cruz exceeded my expectations. If you are seeking a boutique hotel that's off the beaten path, with incredible grounds, authentic design, farm-to-table restaurants and great service, this is the spot for you. The hotel is just 15 minutes outside of town, but it feels completely secluded with a private beach at your fingertips. I recommend the bungalow rooms located near the pool. These rooms have beach views, a private patio with firepits, and easy access to everything on the property. We only stayed one night, but wished we had spent our entire trip here! Great for couples, honeymooners, families and special events.

We absolutely loved our time at Villa Santa Cruz. The tented ocean suites were a dream come true. The service was exceptional. Food and drinks were top notch. Scenery was breathtaking. Our rooms were delightful. Every night we had turn down service and the lemon bar treats were so yummy. We will definitely be going back!

A very special stay in an incredible, unspoiled location! We stayed in the beach tents and could not have loved our experience more! Bed was very comfortable, soaking tub and hammock were lovely, and we loved having a private beach bonfire lit each evening before falling asleep to the soundtrack of crashing waves. We even spotted several whales! The front desk staff is incredible- any special requests were answered graciously and promptly. We never waited very long for anything! The cleaning staff also did an amazing job keeping our tent sand free and impeccably clean. Service throughout our stay was seamless, timely, and gracious. There are a lot of little, thoughtful touches at this hotel that go a long way towards making each stay more comfortable and special- (electric) pillar candles lit at turndown service, coffee and mini muffins delivered to your room each morning before breakfast service, a nightlight in the bathroom, snacks refreshed in the minibar each day, etc. One very small suggestion would be to add fresh fruit to the in room minibar set up for the health conscious. The gardens (!!) and facilities are also incredible at this property. It is clear that a lot of thought and intention has gone into creating this very special place. Though there aren't currently any spa facilities, we heard rumors that one is in the works, and really, this is the only thing I can think of that would have improved our stay and position Villa Santa Cruz as a wellness destination. We would love to go back and take advantage of facilities like an infrared sauna, plunge pool, or temezcal. However, the massages we got in the palapa near the beach were *superb*. We also really enjoyed the sunset beach horseback riding experience. Suez was incredibly tuned in to the ability of each rider, matching demeanors and personalities to each horse. She made sure each rider had individual instruction and was comfortable before heading out of the paddock onto the beach. The horses are all rescues and they are very clearly very well cared for. The ride was very scenic and peaceful along the undeveloped beach, past a palm tree oasis with views of the mountains. Truly spectacular. We also appreciated the ethos of the property- they focus on recycling, reducing food waste, reducing plastic, etc. While we were there the owners were hosting a fundraiser for the local high school. Our dinner at the Green Room was not our favorite food of the trip, but I think perhaps we ordered incorrectly. The scenery and setting, however, were absolutely unrivaled and I am comparing food quality to an incredibly high standard set elsewhere in Todos Santos (don't miss Jazzamango, Agricole, or Carnitas Miguel in Pescadero!!!)- I would still classify the food here as "solid/good", just not "great". Still well worth going for the incredible setting at sunset. VSC was one of the most special places we have stayed anywhere, and made for a truly restorative trip! We will undoubtedly re
