Wickaninnish Inn

We loved this place. Probably one of the best hotel rooms ever. Everything you needed was provided including binoculars, rainmacs and beach towels. The staff are really friendly and proactive.

We spent three nights at "the Wick" in mid May and we had a wonderful time. It is a truly beautiful facility in a spectacular location and the staff are all extremely warm and attentive and eager to please without being obsequious. We had a beautiful room in the Pointe building facing South and had amazing views of the ocean from our room and private balcony. The grounds of Inn are beautiful including a wonderful "rainforest trail". We attending the complementary Nature Walk on Saturday morning and our guide Rachel was fanatastic.

They over work their staff and pretty much can't keep good staff. They abuse the visa workers. All the fake people in management need to be replaced and the hotel sold in general. If they could keep staff, maybe it would be a good place.... don't be fooled by their shady people.

We stayed in a 3rd floor Premier King Room and the view when we entered the room literally took my breath away. It was a stunning view and the photos don't do it justice. Within 5 minutes of entering our room, we saw a pair of mating eagles doing their "freefall dance". The tide coming in and out, an occasional whale spout, birds and looking at the tidepools with the binoculars were all favorite activites. We felt so pampered by the staff here and appreciated all of the upscale amenities. We ate in the restaurant and bar often and enjoyed the food and dining experience immensely. We cannot say enough about how incredible our stay was at the Wickaninnish Inn - it is definitely one of our best hotel experiences.

Maybe it’s the best hotel in the world. But I’ll never know. A hotel that is holding itself out as being in this sort of category should be able to quickly confirm whether or not it has a room within the date range that is requested . And if it’s tell you that a room is available, it should not then change its mind. And if it does change its mind it should not then dismissively offer a room outside of the requested date range. Whatever.

We discovered this inn while on our honeymoon in Victoria. Glad we made it back to celebrate our 25th. The Wickaninnish Inn is the epitome of beauty and service. Everything about the experience is spot on.
