Young's Motel

The rooms do not have enough outlets--not even an outlet in the bathroom! But having a fabulous to eat next door, Fast Eddie's, help. My husband had the Incredible Burger and it was great! Get your name on the list to eat as soon as your can as this place is very popular.

We stayed here while traveling along the Alcan. It’s clean and comfortable, nothing fancy, but the price is reasonable. Satellite TV and wifi worked well. Bathroom fan was a little noisy and we could easily hear the people next door talking, but it wasn’t a problem. I’d stay there again. Check-in is at Fast Eddies.

I do not stay in motels. It is not modern, stuck in the 70-80. This one was considered the best place to stay in Tok, Alaska. The motel was clean and the room was spacious. No fridge or microwave. There is not air-conditioner but a fan. We turned it on high and left the window open. It was comfortable enough for one night. We had dinner and breakfast at Fast Eddies they share the same parking lot. The food was fantastic and the prices are reasonable. I would recommend both.

Young's motel, Fast Eddies Restaurant and the nearby Bears Den Lounge provide classic roadhouse offerings in Tok. Young's motel is a clean 2 star motel with older basic rooms and a number of new cabins- keys were metal. Our older basic room was a small double double room with a small bathroom, it is relatively inexpensive and offers very basic amenities. It had bland decor, basic furnishing and a couple of nice art pieces. The room has a medium flatscreen tv with lots of channels. There was no refer, microwave nor safe. There was no HVAC, just a fan. The lighting was adequate with enough outlets. The bed and linens were good and the pillows fair. The bath had fair towels and minimal toiletries- but at least the water was hot and everything worked. The complementary internet worked well and the in room coffee was acceptable ( which is a good rating compared to most). The food and beverage at Fast Eddies and Bears Den Lounge was good to very good, plentiful and relatively inexpensive. Service was friendly and attentive. The motel delivered what you would expect from an entry level economy level lodging.

We passed through Tok recently on our trip to Alaska and decided to stop for the night. Young's was a very good choice. The rooms were clean and the wifi worked well. There was a reasonable restaurant in walking distance. If you happen to make a stop in Tok for the night, I would recommend this place. We stayed in one of the cabins and it had a nice little porch facing the woods which added to our stay.

Room was clean but the mattresses in room 22 need replacing! They are broken down on the one side. Did not offer much support. And felt like I was sinking. Area was quiet. Which was surprising with it being in the midst of tourist season. They do have new cabins but price was about 40 to 50 dollars more a night
