Tokoriki Island Resort Adults-Only

We loved immersing into the Fijian culture. Service is impeccable: kind, competent and joyful. The property is maintained with great care. The reefs are gorgeous with great color and many schools of colorful fish. Fijian music at arrival and at night was delightful. Guests are treated with the best attention and the staff knew our names. We felt loved and cared for—you arrive as strangers and leave as family. We are already talking about our return trip next year! Thank you to our Tokoriki!

I went with my mom for a birthday trip and I don’t even know how to explain how incredible this place was. We stayed in the beachfront pool villa and it was absolutely magnificent. The view, the design, the atmosphere, even the tiniest details were beautiful. You could tell that whoever designed this place cared about every single element. It didn’t feel generic or rushed. It felt intentional and peaceful. I brought my camera with me because I knew I’d want to remember everything. And honestly, pictures still didn’t do it justice. The room itself was something else. Waking up with the ocean right in front of us, the private pool, the comfort of the space, the way everything flowed was just next level. It was the kind of place that made you slow down and breathe. The food was unreal. Every meal we had was so good. The chef was genuinely the kindest person on earth. On our second night, he made something off the menu just for my mom, which was such a sweet gesture. You could feel the love in every part of the service, not just the food. They weren’t just doing their job. They wanted us to be happy. And they made sure we were. During teppanyaki dinner, they surprised me with a birthday cake. I didn’t expect that at all. They remembered it was my birthday without anyone needing to remind them. The night was already so fun, but that just made it feel even more special. They played games with everyone at the table and it got people talking and laughing. It made everything feel relaxed and warm. The staff at Tokoriki are something else. From the moment we arrived, they sang for us. They remembered our names. They treated us like actual people, not just customers passing through. Their kindness is something I haven’t experienced anywhere else. Even when they couldn’t help with something, they still tried. They always tried. That meant a lot. I also want to mention the spa. I didn’t realise I had to book in advance, and by the time I asked, they were fully booked. But they still managed to make room for me, even when it was full. That kind of effort and flexibility is rare. They didn’t make me feel like an inconvenience. They just quietly made it happen. The whole resort was stunning. The gardens, the walkways, the spa, the pool, the common areas! Everything was just so peaceful and well thought out. It never felt crowded. It felt personal. Like it was built for you. The only thing I really hope they improve is the Wi-Fi. There was Wi-Fi in the lobby, but not in our room, or at least not one we could access. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it’s something I hope they change. Having Wi-Fi in the rooms would make a huge difference, especially for people who want to stay connected while relaxing. Other than that, everything was perfect. Tokoriki gave me the best birthday I could have asked for. I left feeling rested, cared for, and so, so thankful. I would absolutely go back. And if they bring Wi-Fi to the rooms, I’ll be booking again for sure. Note to

Spectacular: spectacular customer service in all resort venues, spectacular grounds, spectacular sunsets, spectacular accommodations, spectacular food and beverage offerings, spectacular activities, spectacular housekeeping services. Sadly we only had 5 nights at this fabulous adults only resort…wish we would have booked a longer stay! From the moment you arrive via speedboat, catamaran or helicopter, you will be treated to the best level of customer service imaginable. Guests are serenaded by the band boys and the beautiful voices of the staff on arrival, at departure and in celebration of anniversaries and birthdays. The band boys also provide entertainment during lunch and dinner. The entire staff is superb. A special thanks to Niumaia, Kara and “Queen V” for making our visit extra special. The reception area, the dining venues and the pool area have an inviting and relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed watching guests arrive or depart via helicopter from time to time. There is a boutique near the reception area offering high end gifts at very reasonable prices. There is also a smiling face at the reception area daily and into the evening happy to assist with any want or need. Housekeeping is exceptional: daily housekeeping and turndown service is the norm here. The staff magically knows just the right time to service your room. Special dining options are a romantic and fun treat. We very much enjoyed our Oceanfront Dinner celebrating our anniversary and my husband’s upcoming birthday; as well as our Oceanfront Breakfast and Hibachi Dinner. It was also interesting to watch the Lovo Cooking, a method Fijians use to cook pork and vegetables. The pork entree is offered a few times a week. The menus are varied and the lunch and dinner menus change every day. No buffets here: all meals are cooked to order and served with the highest level of service. The food is fresh and well prepared - sure to please “foodies”. Great wines from Australia and New Zealand are offered by the glass or by the bottle. If you don’t finished the bottle, the bartender will keep your bottle for you for the next day or you can take it with you to enjoy in your Bure. Guests should also experience the Kava Ritual held a few evenings a week. Guests learn the history and the etiquette of this Fijian tradition and enjoy rounds of kava with the hosts and other guests. The accommodations are very private and are well appointed. We did not want to leave our Oceanfront Pool Bure. The outside areas were the perfect place to relax, enjoy an afternoon cocktail and take a dip I the pool. Guests can also enjoy the resort Oceanfront infinity pool with full bar service and afternoon tea. There is a second pool available by the outdoor library which is often used for scuba instruction. Where do I start? Every aspect was so well done. Air conditioned Bure with ocean views and private pool. Beautifully appointed in the Fiji style. The food, breakfast, lunch and dinner was wonderfully prepared by a very talented chef (Tom), and his team. Food was delivered to the individual's beach side tables by respectful, friendly, very happy and professional Fiji staff. The community areas and infinity pool were not crowded nor were they noisy. The amazing friendly culture of the Fijian staff quickly rubbed off on all incoming guests making the whole resort very overtly friendly. There were activities for all tastes. Snorkelling, fishing, kayaking, scuba diving, tennis. I sat quietly and played chess, backgammon and cards with many other guests. This proved to be the holiday of a lifetime and we hope to return.
