Grand Guesthouse Tongren

Service: The front desk staff provided excellent service, making us feel right at home. Hygiene: The hotel's cleanliness standards were exceptionally high. We booked our last day's stay at the state guesthouse. Upon entering the hotel grounds, we immediately noticed convenient charging stations, which was a huge plus. Since we arrived late, they even upgraded us to a standard room on the executive floor, offering a side view of the river and railway – a lovely surprise! The next day, the concierge helped us carry our luggage to our parking spot, which was incredibly thoughtful and truly matched the hotel's five-star service ethos. While the location isn't as central as the Jinjiang, it's very convenient for self-driving, especially for those heading to the highway the next day for their return journey. Compared to the Jinjiang where we stayed the day before, this hotel, despite being a bit further from the ancient town, completely surpassed it! A five-star experience is indeed much more comfortable than a four-star one. Next time I visit Tongren, I will definitely book this hotel again. Especially the quality and service of the front desk – the Jinjiang really fell short in comparison.

The service was absolutely exceptional, far exceeding my expectations! Xiao Lu and Xiao Feng were especially wonderful. The breakfast was plentiful, the room was very spacious, and the view was great. It wasn't noisy at all. I highly recommend everyone choose this place for their trip!

Three of us friends decided last minute to visit Tongren for the May Day holiday, and I can't believe how great this hotel turned out to be! First off, its location is excellent, really close to the old town and other attractions. There's even a super popular beef noodle shop nearby that always has a queue. Secondly, the service was absolutely fantastic! As soon as our car pulled up, the bellhop proactively took our luggage to the front desk. When we checked in, the lady at the front desk noticed there were three of us but only two complimentary breakfasts, so she immediately offered to add an extra one! And honestly, the breakfast at the hotel ended up being the best meal I had during my entire trip to Tongren! After checking in, I was waiting for my friends on the sofa, and I think it was the lobby manager who noticed my friend and I had a bit of a cold. They proactively asked if we'd like some ginger tea to warm up and shake off the chill. Seriously, the service here is beyond words, just absolutely amazing! With this level of service and ambiance, I'll only stay at this hotel whenever I visit Tongren in the future. I completely forgot to take photos of the hotel itself, so I only have a shot of the view from the window during the day – it was truly lovely!

Facilities: A well-established five-star hotel with all the expected amenities. They even have a delivery robot that brings food right to your room. Hygiene: The cleaning staff, especially the auntie, was excellent. Knowing there were three of us, she provided three sets of towels and toiletries. Environment: The only slight downside is that the dining area is a bit far from the hotel, though you can also dine in your room. Service: Xiao Peng at the front desk proactively extended our check-out time, which was a huge help. Another staff member, I think her name was Xiao Shu, kindly offered complimentary breakfast for our child for three days. Very thoughtful!

After a fun time at the scenic spot, I returned to the city and checked into the State Guesthouse again. My room was upgraded to an executive standard room, which I'm very happy with. Thanks to Xiao Shu at the front desk!

The room was clean and comfortable, with well-maintained and easy-to-use facilities. The view from the window was beautiful and expansive, which made for a very pleasant stay. Any requests we had were promptly addressed, and the butler service was professional and thoughtful. We also really appreciated the great room view and the lovely evening amenities.

I've visited Tongren many times and always choose this hotel. It truly lives up to its reputation as the only five-star hotel in Tongren. The facilities are very well-maintained, the breakfast spread is fantastic, and the views of the mountains and rivers are absolutely stunning. The price is incredibly reasonable too. Xiao Peng at the front desk provided exceptional service, and all the other hotel staff were very friendly – truly five-star service all around. The air conditioning in the hotel is excellent, keeping it cool and comfortable. Even though it's close to the train station, I didn't hear any noise from this direction at all. The Fengqing Garden also has a great atmosphere; we camped there with the kids in the afternoon, and it was wonderful.
