Excellent boutique hotel with ditto service! Next to the beautiful Lake Como - perfect location, great swimming pool..and great food to boot! Special mention of Andrea (and the rest of the team)!! Very personal service and attention throughout

I hesitated to share this review in the selfish desire to try to keep this extraordinary destination to myself. But an experience so exceptional deserves rave recognition. There is only one level of service across all departments at Il Sereno - outstanding. My first glimpse of the property - before we even had keys to our room - had me smitten enough to extend our stay. And, we booked to return next summer before this trip was even halfway done. The product is stunning, the food is divine, the rooms were spacious and wonderfully appointed, and the amenities - pool, spa, gym - fantastic. But the 5 stars to Il Sereno (more if I could!) truly go to its people. The staff is young with a vibrant energy, but they are poised and experienced beyond their years. They are generous, anticipatory and so knowledgeable and passionate about this area of Italy. They care for this property as if it is a jewel box, and we, the guest, are treated as a precious gem. Il Sereno is for someone who likes a quiet getaway with lots of privacy, easy access to amenities, and the highest level of standard and service. However, hustle and bustle can be easily found in the towns nearby, and Il Sereno staff will send you to the best of the best restaurants, shops, gelaterias, etc. We can't wait to return.

Il Sereno Como gets a lot of things right. The rooms are nice and spacious, if you ask for something they will arrange it and the food is of a high quality. The service at breakfast was the standout experience. Having said that there are areas for improvement. The driver arranged by the hotel to pick us up from Milan airport did not offer to help us with our bags which was unusual and there was mould in the bathroom and what I suspect is water proofing problems. The mould was cleaned up at my request but you would expect this to be checked by management. There are some other areas where the customer service could be more proactive.

A beautiful, luxurious hotel with amazing and impeccable interiors, a gorgeous view and superb service. The service from Ruben, Andrea, Matteo and Abby was absolutely top notch. They made us feel so pampered and welcome - like family. We miss the hotel, the views of Como and the staff already. Highly recommended and most probably the best hotel in Como.

Il Sereno may very well have set the bar for hospitality and customer service in my opinion. We were set to visit Il Sereno in April. Due to circumstances by Sereno Hotels, our reservations were moved to Villa d’Este two weeks prior to our arrival. What happened over this next two weeks is why I am determined to come back and stay at Il Sereno. It’s one thing to have a beautiful hotel and facilities - but it’s the people that make you stay, and come back. I think customer service is really proved when things go wrong, not necessarily when they go right. With just two weeks to go, we had a full itinerary set with Il Sereno. The concierge was brilliant at picking restaurants and setting a boat rental, along with plans for shopping and sightseeing. When it was determined that we were moving to Villa d’Este m, the concierge and guest relations team at Il Sereno worked tirelessly to confirm, relocate, and retool our itinerary. Keeping in mind that Villa d’Este is a larger hotel with a full service Guest Relations team, Il Sereno took complete ownership of our experience and managed to ensure our satisfaction - despite not staying with them. They communicated relentlessly with us, many times in the middle of the night, to make sure we were cared for. The arrangements they made for us at Villa d’Este were above and beyond what we had planned for, and they made sure we had an unforgettable experience. There is no doubt we will be back to Lake Como, and when we do it will be with Il Sereno. If you have any thought on where to stay - Il Sereno should be it. Very special thanks to Giulia, Giorgia, and especially Claudio, who contacted me while on his vacation to ensure we were cared for. I can’t believe the lengths this team went to when presented with a problem, and their commitment to customer service and hospitality is unmatched.

Exceptional stay! The location, service, and food were all outstanding. Everything was so enjoyable that we didn’t want to leave. This was truly a stay to remember, and we will definitely be back.

We just finished a 6 night stay in Alcove Suite to finish our 2 week Italy & Switzerland trip and boy it was great way to end it. The hotel is uniquely special and it starts when you pull up and make the walk to the lobby. The resort is impeccable in every way and what sets it apart are the great people. We can’t say enough good things about all of the people who helped us and some special shoutouts to Dennis in the pool area, Federica in the spa and Leonardo the bread man on the wait staff. The room was just as described and twice a day mad service was just perfect. We used the spa twice for massage services and were at the pool every day. We also did a 6 hour boat tour with Fabrizio and took out the personal sized boats for 2 hours ourselves. Breakfast every day at the restaurant or in our room was great and so many options. We did dinner 3 nights at Al Lago and it got better every night. There are some other choices where you can walk to Torno or get car service to Como or Blevio but it will cost you. Dinner option here at hotel or in your room will be better than going anywhere else. Overall we cannot recommend this place more on lake como as far enough away from busy towns of Bellagio or Varenna but I would choose to stay here every day. Menaggio was our favorite town as more laid back and less crowded. Thanks to everyone here at the hotel that made our vacation special.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Il Sereno. The hotel is modern, beautifully designed, and its strongest asset is the stunning location with breathtaking views over Lake Como. All rooms have lake views and feature spacious balconies, which is a major highlight. The design is contemporary and elegant. The restaurant was a standout — both the food and the atmosphere were excellent. I especially appreciated the F&B team, who were highly professional and welcoming. Overall, the service across the hotel was of a high standard. Communication through WhatsApp with the hotel staff was smooth and helpful. I also enjoyed the well-organized boat tour of the lake. Everything from check-in to departure was handled efficiently and with care.
