Absolutely stunning property with exceptional views all around from inside and from the garden. We had 2 rooms when we stayed here one looked out to the beautiful countryside and the other straight out to sea which if your lucky enough can catch a sunrise on a clear morning. The breakfast was exceptional as was the view from where you have breakfast, in front of the bifolds looking out to sea. The only downside was I booked 1 night, I could have easily sat in that spot where we had breakfast all day takeing in the views. 100% recommend this absolute Gem of a B&B. And not to forget the fantastic host who meet you with a warm welcome and makes you feel as comfortable and at home as possible :) will defo be stopping here again! 10/10

Although I was in Torquay for my Brother's funeral, I couldn't have been more at ease. Anne is special; she is one in a million! A long flight from Scotland followed by a miserable wet and misty drive from Bristol ended up with Anne being so concerned over my late arrival, that she drove to Shaldon Bridge to find me and lead me to Halekulani at 10 at night. Such a special peaceful location, it was just where I needed to unwind. A wonderful breakfast with carefully selected local produce and the sun shining in the open doors across a tranquil countryside and the sea and coast beyond. Anne, throughout my stay couldn't have been more considerate and helpful. After the anxieties of a funeral, the wonderful calmness of this location was just what I needed to unwind. How often is it that a proprietor of a boarding establishment; no, Halekulani is not that but a "home from home": is concerned about a guest's welfare after leaving? Anne certainly was, on a foul day with a Yellow Weather warning throughout the UK, and asked me to let her know when I got to my destination. If you want a place to stay overnight try a chain motel; if you want sanctuary from all life's woes come to Halekulani. A huge thank you Anne.

I have read some of the reviews already posted and they are a fantastic complement for Anne. Its hard to add new comments. From booking to saying goodbye there was good communication, help and advice. Our onsuite room was spotless, a bath & a shower plus all the goodies. The view even on a cold wet day was great. The breakfast menu was extensive, well prepared & delicious. Lovely comfortable lounge, large tv etc. A lovely few days. Highly reccomended.

An amazing place to stay… a real home from home. The house was spectacular sitting on a high ridge just outside Torquay with panoramic views of the sea and surrounding countryside. The room was extremely well appointed with absolutely everything you could need from dressing gowns, all sorts of different toiletries, tea and coffee and snacks. Anne had thought of absolutely everything. She was a wonderful caring and attentive host. Tea and cakes on arrival and the use of our own sea facing lounge with large comfy sofas, a log burner and TV just for us ! It was simply perfect. Anne provided us with a light supper …soup with delicious home made bread. Breakfast was freshly cooked. There was a lovely covered swimming pool on the lawn which would have been bliss in the summer but definitely not in January!! We’ll just have to come back. It’s a very quiet, relaxing and unique place to stay. A real home from home. Remote but still an easy drive down into Torquay and the surrounding villages.

Anne was very welcoming and the house and our room were beautifully clean and very well set out . Tea and coffee in our room, lovely views and very comfortable bed. Our cooked breakfast was pre ordered and was ready for when we asked as we had to rush off early the next morning. Breakfast was lovely with amazing sea views. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

Where to begin? After following the emailed instructions to the letter we found the property without difficulty and were warmly greeted by Anne, our host. The property is delightful, tastefully decorated, modern and sparkling. After a welcome with coffee and cake we settled into our room then followed Anne's suggestion - chosen from several, with links & information sent to my phone - for a local eatery (Cary Arms Hotel) where we enjoyed wonderful service, food and atmosphere although the steep & narrow access laneway was, as we were warned, a challenge! Breakfast the next day was served with surgical precision in immaculate surroundings and didn't disappoint. Overall a delightful experience with an amazing host!
