Had coffee here twice, plus an excellent home made muffin.Gorgeous hotel inside, much nicer than photos. The view is second only to Hosteria Pehoe but really is quite amazing. The scale of these mountains! Final section of road to the hotel is horrific with multiple potholes that are difficult to avoid. It all comes to a crescendo in the car park where the potholes become Moon craters, even more difficult to dodge. But a gorgeous place overall.A bit out on a limb though, a good 30 min drive down one of the Park’s dreadful roads which I wouldn’t fancy having to do every day in order to get onto the main drag so to speak.

The six days I spent at the hotel were wonderful! The staff and guides were incredible! Everyone was helpful and kind. Such a warm and welcoming place. A perfect hub for day trips to explore the park. Or, simply walk out the door and explore the trails atound the hotel.

This hotel could be so much better. 3 star hotel in a 5 star setting with 5 star plus prices. Whilst some staff were excellent (such as the barman Claudio), others were poor. Breakfasts were not good. The lack of competition in the area has led to complacency.

We were very satisfied with this hotel. The location is both practical and beautiful. Nice outdoor area. Interesting local flora and fauna including the resident woodpecker Carpintero Megallanico. It is also a very good point for both the catamaran trips and hiking trips in the area. The hotel has a nice gift shop as well. Both dinners and breakfast served in hotel's restaurant were of good quality. The room had all the basics provided. The bed and the mattress were good. It is a very good choice of accommodations during the trip exploring The Torres del Paine National Park.

Obviously the location drives the price, it is a lovely spot. Not all rooms have great views as the trees have grown and blocked some areas. The room is comfortable and clean but very basic, much like a Premier Inn in the UK, no water provided which seemed really penny pinching considering the price. We had the limited menu, not sure of the price as it was part of a package, it was fine but certainly not exceptional though the staff were good. We stayed in 12 different hotels while touring Chile, this was one of the poorer.

One of the best positioned hotels in the area. Quite a distance on unmade up roads but stunning scenery on the way. Rooms are in blocks of 4 units spread around the grounds . They don’t look much from the outside but what a surprise when you walk in the door . Spacious & modern & ours had a view of the glacier. Bathroom was compact but plenty of hot water in the shower. Good choice of food & drink in the restaurant but it was rather pricey. Enjoyed the boat trip to view the glacier but be warned - the walk out to the boat can be difficult, especially if battling head winds.

We stayed for 3 nights over new years along our 10-day trip through Chile. Our room (#404) was small, yet adequate. It had convenient shelving near the door, a comfortable king size bed, and decent water pressure in the shower. The partial swing out glass for the shower did allow a bit of water to get onto the bathroom floor, but it was okay if you’re mindful to avoid slipping. The room looked out to some grass and trees that obscure any view of the lake. The bar and restaurant were pretty good, but I wouldn’t expect any Michelin stars any time soon. We made a concerted effort to try ceviche everywhere we went along our trip and Hotel Lago Grey’s was decent, but was ranked towards the bottom of our list. The roasted lamb dinner with pata bravos was nice, but we’ve had more flavorful and tender lamb. My wife is allergic to dairy and we applaud the availability of vegan options, but the vegan sorbet and brownie was a blasphemous war crime (it was not good). Overall, the staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel is a great launching pad for not only exploring Grey Glacier, but the rest of the Torres del Paine area. We would definitely stay again if in the area!

Hotel Lago Grey has a unique location at the opposite end of the lake from the awesome Grey Glacier, featuring exquisite views of the Torres del Paine massif. We stayed one night in a very comfortable room. It was my wife's birthday and when we entered our room we were greeted with a bottle of champagne and chocolate treats - thoughtful gifts for two weary hikers! We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and both the service and food were excellent. For dessert, our waiter brought a slice of birthday cake (no charge) and serenaded my wife with Happy Birthday in Spanish. We couldn't be happier with our experience. Nick (from Canada)
