This Ryokan was an absolute positive surprise to us. Although it is a bit old and definitely remote (15km to next supermarket and Conbini), it has a perfect location at this part of the island. We loved the seaview and the outdoor onsen which was free to use. The breakfast was also great and had a big selection of a typical Japanese ryokan.

The location from the room and the bath was wonderful. The open-air bath on the rooftop was especially good.

Disadvantages: The facilities are very old, the faucets are divided into hot and cold water, and you have to use a basin to wash your face. The set breakfast is not delicious and a bit sloppy.
I saw a comment in the past that there is no convenience store nearby. In fact, when you go out and turn right, along the road from the hotel, there is a convenience store owned by locals in a three- to four-minute walk (Picture 3). You can buy sushi, rice balls, fruits, etc. Basically Demand can be met.

The hotel is old but lovingly maintained. The location is perfect, there is an onsen in the house on the 2nd/3rd floor, as well as a small onsen on the roof terrace. And if that's not enough, you can use the Ashiyu (foot onsen) on the street.
The house's kitchen is highly recommended for dinner and breakfast!!

Well placed for visiting the temple and the cape. The onsen on the roof very nice. For the rest faded and very ordinary. Shop in the hotel for basic foods because no meals offered.
