We had a couple of nights here for my wife's birthday, based largely on the positive Tripadvisor reviews. It didn't disappoint. The owners (Mark and Gayle) really could not have been more helpful, even to the extent of arranging discounted ferry travel for us. The promised electric recharging for our hybrid car was available and Mark 'blocked' the ideal parking space for us (close to the recharging point) with his own car, to ensure we could then swap cars for us to recharge overnight when we came back at the end of the day! The room (and the hotel in general) was very nicely decorated, in very good order, and very clean. Free chocolates and an honesty bar are offered to all guests, with delicious cake in the room on arrival and tea/coffee facilities, as well as access to a small communal kitchen should you want to store or prepare any of your own food (e.g. a take-away). Oh, and we received a complimentary bottle of wine in the room as it was my wife's birthday! There are a couple of good restaurants we tried within walking distance; the Waterfront (very good) and The Hut (which is not cheap, but amazing food), but there's lots of choice locally. The hotel breakfasts are outstanding. The Sentry Mead is thoroughly recommended, and we'll certainly go back.
