"The cabin completely exceeded expectations, and I must give it a good review. Photos can't capture the beauty of the cabin, and the facilities and equipment are all high-end standards. It can be seen that a lot of thought and expense was spent on the decoration.
This place meets all expectations for the forest cabin, and the view of Lake Toya outside the window is even more stunning. The view outside the bathroom is better than 90% of private baths. The surrounding scenery is also very beautiful. No need to edit the picture at all.
Full star recommendation.
I heard that the management is a couple who are a little older. I guess the operation is not good, otherwise it will definitely be a popular online store.
Unexpected gain.
ps: Daily necessities such as towels and toothbrushes are not particularly good, so it is best to bring your own if you have some requirements."

Great
GGuest UserA view like no other by the beautiful lake. From the greeting at the start, a welcome drink and snack, we were well looked after. The buffet breakfast and dinner were delicious with a wide variety. The chef rings a bell with every new serve! The nightly fireworks were stunning to view from the comfort of our hotel room. It was easy to access the rest of the lake area where we stayed. The second parking lot is easy to access with a shuttle bus. With yukata to wear and a lovely onsen space, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The only small thing was a tissue and tooth pick that had been missed that was under the bed but alerted the reception and they apologised and sent someone to clean it straight away. Highly recommend you enjoy the lake side views, the dragon footbath and hiring the swan motorised boat to enjoy the lake!
LLoner TravellerThe view on Lake Toya from the hotel was spectacular. We were lucky to have witnessed the cloud sea and sunrise. From the other angle, we could see the full view of Mt Yotei, also known as Hokkaido Fuji. There are few restaurants in the hotel, including the Japanese, Chinese, French, and the Italian. There was also good onsen in the hotel, both idoor and outdoor. We will definitely come back to stay again in the future.
WWONG FERRISOverall, we had a very good experience at Toyako Manseikaku Hotel Lakeside Terrace. The hotel offers a great lakeside view and relaxing environment. However, during check-in, there was some confusion. I had emailed earlier to inform the hotel that we would be bringing an extra guest and asked if there would be any additional charges, but unfortunately received no reply. Upon arrival, we were told to top up extra charges, yet no extra bed was provided in the original room. Only after expressing my dissatisfaction did they upgrade our room.
I truly appreciate Ms. Hana for her professionalism and effort in handling the situation. She did a great job with the final arrangement, and her service made a big difference in our overall stay. Thank you!
JJiazhouyangguangOn the hot spring street, it is inconspicuous and old. However, the room has an unbeatable view, facing Lake Toya. Opposite is the bus stop to JR Toya Station. There is a local supermarket two minutes away. Behind the hotel is Lake Toya Foot Bath. You can choose Japanese and Western breakfast, which is simple and tastes average, but it is recommended to choose breakfast, there is nothing to eat around. There is a hot spring on the basement floor, and there is no shower indoors, only toilet. But the room is quite large. I didn't see any female waiters, but the front desk guy can speak English. If you want to see the scenery and watch the fireworks festival, you can stay here, the cost performance is quite high.
GGuest UserClean and luxurious stay at this modern hotel. Like other reviews mentioned, there are some features that may be less than ideal (faucet fixed too near to bottom of sink making it hard to use, shower door unable to close fully and the bath area is open concept). Location is about 20mins away from where the other hotels are and where fireworks can be viewed. Overall a very nice hotel with impeccable service and touches (lovely yukata plus in-room toiletries/ amenities) but be mindful those as well as the modern design are what you are paying a premium for.
GGuest UserEverything is same as per others reviewed. But my main concern is the room security. The doors are old door with only 1 level of lock which is the old style door knob lock. I heard someone (probably some tourist who gotten their room number wrongly) keep trying to open my door & that makes me feel very uncomfortable & insecure as a solo female traveller. Especially mine is a the last second corner unit. The wall isnt sound proof as well. Keep on hearing people talking outside across the rooms, occasionally heard some banging or knocking on the wall sound. While these issues are out of their control but i guess a simple arrangement to change the doors are not that tough. So overall quite a bad experience. Doubt will ever be back.
NNgAwesome location near central Toyako Onsen. Room had gorgeous lake view and onsen was spacious and well-maintained. Only thing is that the hotel is a bit dated and mattresses were a bit thin.
HHei LamGreat position just in front of the lake. You can see the lake from the onzen. Onzen is great with a few of people.
The two original rooms arranged to us were not clean. One with blood stain on toilet bowl, another one with blood stained on sofa. Yet, staff arranged new rooms for us on another floor. The view is great if you choose lake view room.
Buffet was okay with a wide range of food. The tables were low just like desks for kids at school. There were a lot of noisy tourisits during meals. Very disturbing.
GGuest UserThe location is the best which just one minute walking distance to the bus terminal to/from Toya Station and in front of the ferry pier. Please see my photo. Perfect location. The front desk receptionist lady was friendly. I was placed to a lake view Japanese style room. It doesn't include shower but toilet in the room and it looks like old but I love the room. The view from the room's window to Lake Toya was excellent. I love my room's window can be opened, I could see more clear to the lake view and to have fresh air from outside by opening the window. Even it was a raining day, cloudy and frosty. The view is still spotless good. The service was good. The room was clean, tidy and come with all necessity, but bath/shower excluded. However, based on the price, I was happy with it because I don't mind to use the bathroom in the onsen area on floor one. There was only two down side that I found: First, the male onsen area floor was sticky and slippery with moss (My left hand accidentally touched it and my hand was sticked with moss in outdoor onsen area) that includes indoor and outdoor area. I wish they would take more effort to the cleanliness of onsen area. Second, the suana was not available for customer to use. However, I had a fantastic sauna and onsen in 万世閣 (a hotel where is just a few minutes walk away from Toya Grand Hotel) by a paying walk in onsen fee(1300 yen) for non-resident. So, it didn't affect me much.
Overall, my experience was good. I would give Toya Grand Hotel 8 out of 10. I love Toya Grand Hotel. I would recommend it.
