Hotel Shoen

It was a good place to stay for three friends. The only thing I could improve is that the free parking lot, which was listed in the facility information, didn't exist when we got there. It's close to the station, so you can walk around until late at night.

The location is great right in front of the station, and the price is cheap. The female front desk staff member at check-in was gloomy and creepy. The staff member at check-out was average but fine. Perhaps because of the history of the building, the interior of the room felt like a time warp to the Showa era, exuding an indescribable spookiness. You could hear outside noises clearly, and some parts of the room were not properly cleaned.

I sincerely suggest that if there is no non-smoking room, you should never settle for a smoking room. The smell is really everywhere, just a faint smell of cigarettes, you can't ignore it. Fortunately, I only stayed for one night.

It was a very bad night. The Japanese people next door kept talking. The wall seemed to be separated by a layer of wooden boards. The sound insulation was very poor. I couldn't bear it and knocked on the wall several times. The other person's voice became quieter, but I still heard it. It was very clear until about 1:30 in the middle of the night. I have traveled to Japan ten times. This is the first time I sent a negative review. It was not given by me. It was given to you by the Japanese in room 323 that night.

Although it is like a guest house and the facilities are a bit older, it is very clean and has a large space, like a bachelor apartment. Heating is in place, although it was only autumn when I went. The bathrooms are really good. Every bathroom in Japan during my trip is a master of space utilization. The water pressure is sufficient and the drainage is smooth. Without exception, I admire them. Boiling the kettle is pretty cute hahaha. The location is good, just a minute or two walk to the train station. The area around the train station seems to be the busiest place in Toyama.
