Went to the Stirling Brasserie with my husband and daughter for his birthday meal. 1st time here, certainly one of our favourite places to eat now. The food is fabulous, so well presented, great menu choice, good portions and tasted divine, definite shout out to the chef. Couldn’t fault the lovely staff either, a special thank you to Ciro, what a really nice guy and made the experience here for us. Would definitely recommend this place to all and can’t wait to return. Thank you. Marie, Martin & Em

We visited here for our Golden Wedding Anniversary and honestly I cannot understand how they do not have a Michellin star - or two! We had the fine dining experience from chef Seb and it was magnificent. We always go somewhere good for our anniversary but this beat the last few places we have been out of a cocked hat - that includes The Whitebrook, The Hardwick and The Walnut Tree - all of which are good but nowhere near this standard. (though to be fair the Whitebrook used to be) We were treated like royalty - the service was outstanding. We started with canapes of beetroot arancini and duck parfait profiteroles, both wonderful. Then there was some artisan bread with flavoured butter followed by an amuse bouche (photo below). The starters were both amazing - I had scallops with some sort of chicken ball - with extra touches like cauli puree and micro herbs - my husband had pigeon done three ways and it was sublime. For the main I had surf n turf - a lobster tail with filet of beef with mini cauli and brocolli - to be honest I cannot remember all the details clearly as I think my mind was blown by this point. My husband had halibut with pigs cheek and fondant celeriac (photo below). The pre desert was wonderfully tasty and I dont have a sweet tooth - lemon posset with a rhubard icecream and some sort of white chocolate rocks. Then my huband had the trio of chocolat which he loved while I had the most incredible cheese board. As if that wasn't enough the meal ended with petit fours on a board wishing us Happy Anniversary. This was bar far the best meal since we had the 9 course taster menu in Hibiscus when it was still in Ludlow nearly 20 years ago. All this paired with really good wine and wonderful service from our dedicated waitress, Seren. The room and breakfast were pretty good too! I cannot wait to go back again and hopefully by then someone will have nominated them for a MIchellin star!

Fine dining taster evening to celebrate my parents Ruby Aniversary, at the same venue they held their original wedding reception some 40 years ago. We were the only diners this evening, so were made to feel extra special, and had the full attention of our lovely young waitress Seren. The food was exceptional, the quality of the ingredients, the inspirational ideas of the chef and the execution of each course could not be faulted. Each course was timed to perfection so as not to be rushed, and was beautifully presented. We are local and delighted we have such a venue on our doorstep. Michelin star quality in our view, and we have eaten in a few. Well done to Andrew Stirling and his team.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Wolfscastle Hotel. As usual we received a warm welcome from all the lovely staff and the service we received was attentive, efficient and personable. We made use of the spa facilities- which was super relaxing before having our massage- this was exceptionally good (a massive thank you to Imogen and Bethan)- a nice touch was that we could choose an aromatherapy scent in the treatment room. Our evening got even better when we decided to indulge in the fine dining experience- it was nice to dress up and enjoy the ambience with a well laid candle-lit table and the low key jazz background music. Seren and Shani provided the perfect silver service and served each course with finesse (detailing every tasty ingredient)- each and every course wowed us both in appearance and every bite was such a fusion of flavours. We were spoilt with a total of 8 courses and the hours flew by as we fully immersed ourselves in our first ever fine dining experience- we both agreed this wouldn't be the last. Thank you to your super talented Michelin star head chef Seb and Adama (p.s we do have a suggestion to sell the butters which were served with the freshly baked breads (marmite and I think the other one was garlic) in tubs alongside your fudge- we couldn't get enough of it! We look forward to our next stay! Rhi & Sean

The room was very comfortable. I particularly appreciated the lovely hot shower after a very chilly dip in the February sea! But the highlight was the exceptional fine dining experiece. Too many "wow"s to list every one here but tempura octopus, slow-cooked ox cheek and mango and passionfruit souffle were some of my favourites. All-in-all, more than a match for the Michelin-starred meals we've had, and without the eye-watering price!

It’s our first experience of fine dining, it was fabulous . The service was exemplary we were consulted when we would like the next course serving. This gave the meal a very relaxed feeling and enabled us to complete all of the delicious food without feeling too full.

My husband and I attended the special Valentine's Day dinner of 8 courses, prepared by their talented chef. It was a truly wonderful evening of delightful food, beautifully prepared and presented. The halibut main course which I chose was especially to my taste and the souffle for the dessert was amazingly light. The staff were very attentive and helpful. My husband is a stroke survivor and can only use one hand for eating so cutting up meat is a problem but the staff were very willing to take his plate and cut up the meat at his request. Indeed one of the reasons for choosing this venue is because it is accessible for my husband who uses a wheelchair. Overall, it was one of the best Valentine Day meals out that we have experienced.
