Cloistered beneath the castle walls, this stylished building has only a small parking lot but we were lucky to find a place. The modern lobby enables a glimpse to Roman foundations behind a glass. A sign warned that the hotel´s Roman ruins were closed to the public due to renovations, but I dind´t see any work being done. The location is a few steps away from the pedestrian area. The lobby has a cute bar, but it was always closed during our stay. Our room had a king size bed, slightly slimmer than regular ones (what I call European king). The shower is in the tub, separated by a tiny glass, so be prepared for water ponds.

Well kept, clean and comfortable hotel with excellent amenities let down by poor service. The restaurant closes at 8pm. The staff acted like I was being a nuisance for asking for an iron/ironing board.

The check out at this property is 10AM. I have not been to a hotel with as early check out time as this in a long time.
If you ask them for late check out you will be lucky to get 11AM. Past that they will try to charge you a 1/2 day fee.
The hotel is a bit dated now. I have stayed here several times for the past 3 years and there is zero upgrades/maintenance.
Location is really good though.

Despite some mix-ups on our part with the reservation the hotel was very accommodating with our requests. We were late arriving but staff was on hand and offered to bring some beverages to our room. The decor is well maintained and very comfortable. Easy access location and just a few steps from the main plaza in the historic center. An abundant breakfast buffet was offered. Would stay here again if in the area.

Nights in Trencin
Nice hotel located near historical castle.
Christmas market place is also nearby.
Breakfast has wide variation.
Noisy by Christmas party in the conference room until midnight.
There is no other reasonable hotel in this area, price of this hotel has been increasing every year.
