Location close to food court . Which was a hi light for food. If anyone wants to try local food it is there . Also around the corner place with delicious Indonesian desert Martabak. The owner of the hotel overall helpful. But had some small trouble with check in.

Friendly and homely. Basic rooms but as expected for the price. Good breakfast. No aircon but Bajawa is cool at night. Room was clean, a little musty, very friendly staff who helped with us our luggage ( up stairs), with organising a driver to see the sights, with laundry, and with recommendations for cafes & restaurants, and onward travel.

We spent 1 night here. Comfortable and clean room with a huge shower area. I think the builders must be very tall as the bed was very high and I had to tip toe to reach the shower mixer. Great view of the mountains from our room on the 1st floor. Since it was a quiet period, the owner offered to switch us to the top most floor room offering a fantastic view. Because of our luggage and being there for only 1 night, we declined. Sri, the owner speaks good English and very chatty. Bajawa is quite cold. Sri offered us hot noodles soup for breakfast. That was like a hug in a bowl together with strong French press coffee. Would have loved to spend another night here if we had more time. Bottled water provided. Stable wifi. Highly recommend

We stayed in Bajawa Roo hotel for one night on our way from Labuan Bajo to danau Kelimutu. Our room was on the top floor accessed by a stair and a spiral staircase. The view from our room on the top floor was good. Our room had a small verandah where we had coffee. The wifi was decent. The owner Ibu Sri woke up at 0430 to check if we had woken up and needed something as went to see the sunrise at Wolobobo Hill. When we returned she prepared breakfast for us and served it at the dining hall on the top floor. We had a good chat with Ibu Sri. It is cold in Bajawa. The quilt was warm and the room was cozy.

We, two couples, arrived in the evening in our minibus with driver and guide at Hotel Roo, where we had booked 2 rooms through ***********. We were warmly welcomed and offered coffee with fried banana before checking in. Since this hotel is about 1.5 km. is away from some restaurants, we asked if they could also provide dinner. This turned out not to be the case. We thought it would be wise to check in quickly so that we could then visit one of the restaurants with our bus. To our great surprise, our guide told us that the hotel had been overbooked. We were not asked about our booking confirmation and apologies were expressed many times. We were presented with an unknown hotel, but since this was not our first visit to Bajawa, we opted for a well-known hotel. And that is why we cannot give a review about the hotel itself, but the whole course of events seemed strange.

Bajawa is devoid of good category hotels. This is a family hotel, the family living in an adjoining house. 7 rooms are distributed in the building. Ours, on the second floor, was large, simple, very clean, uncluttered, with decent bedding. The bathroom was ok, with hot water and a good spray. Has very good quality wifi in our room (rare on Flores). The family is very welcoming and accommodating. Meals, well cooked, are taken on the terrace overlooking the city - which otherwise has no particular charm. The place is calm, and we are awakened by the singing of the mosque followed by the bells of the church, all accompanied by the crowing of roosters which take turns. This is all very pleasant. The five stars are deserved, taking into account the type of accommodation, the value for money, the welcome, etc., even if we are not within the usual European standards, which here would hardly make sense. Very hospitable people who welcome you with a snack and a cup of tea and coffee. Good food with a view over the city because it is on the roof terrace. Nice breakfast with fruit, pancakes and omelette. Recommended to spend the night here. Excellent rooms, WiFi and hot shower.
