The hotel gave a lot of surprises. The performance after sunset was very ceremonial, with strong Sri Lankan local dances and songs, allowing you to immerse yourself in the teardrop of the Indian Ocean.

The hotel is really special. There is no sign on the door. I thought I was in the wrong place, haha.
Facilities: The sea view room is very good. There is a separate path leading directly to the seaside. There are two showers in the room, and you can also take a shower outside.
Hygiene: On rainy days, some small bugs would crawl into the room. One night, I was scared to death that there was a big bug on the bed.
Service: The hotel has a beach bar, and the food is served very slowly. The Coconut King tastes terrible, so order with caution.

Like Ctrip with real name: First, I booked another hotel in Trincomalee, but the store told me that there was no room. There is nothing to say about the service. I had a beach seafood BBQ for dinner, $190 for two people (not including tip)

Staying at Uga Jungle Beach for our wedding was truly magical. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly special with thoughtful surprises—afternoon tea by the beach, romantic private dinners, and beautifully decorated room on our wedding day. On our last night, they even arranged a stunning farewell dinner, making every moment unforgettable. The service was exceptional. Every staff member was kind, attentive, and always ready to help, while even the management team took time to ensure we had everything we needed. Our room was spacious, spotless, and serviced twice daily, and the food was outstanding, with the chef personally asking for feedback. it was an experience we’ll cherish forever. We’re already planning to return for our first anniversary next year!

We stayed here in August 2024 during a last minute trip to Sri Lanka. We wanted to escape (rather than be in Colombo) and this was the perfect resort. Never stayed at a local brand (Uga) so was interested in trying. The staff were great, service was great. Property is definitely secluded and you're surrounded by both the sea/beach on one side and jungle/mangrove/lagoon on the other side. Rooms were large with many of the usual luxury amenities. We asked for a 2nd floor room which gave us a beautiful sunset every night. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful (and included) and all our meals (we never left the resort) were tasty, but on the pricey side (think New York prices), but hey we're in a remote luxury resort. Like some of the other reviews have stated, some of the resort could do with a refresh and show signs of wear and tear, but it didn't detract from our experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the remoteness, the rustiness and the friendly service. Also abundant of wildlife (and the usual bugs and reptiles related to a tropical island) around which we really enjoyed. It was hot and humid in August but I would still recommend going during this time as it was "low season" for Sri Lanka (although not low season for that part of the island) and the resort wasn't too crowded, perfect for us.

Great overall experience and wonderful beach! The food offer for breakfast, lunch and dinner was amazing. The staff was always kind and helpful. Shoutout to Damith the lifeguard who made every visit at the beach a wonderful experience!!!

It was a great experance for me and my wife thanks to Tari and Julia during our stay at Uga jungle beach . We had a couple massage with body scub. Both the girls are very skilled and very professional during the whole time since we walked in to the spa. We highly recommend to anyone who stay in Uga jungle beach
