The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We came hoping for a pleasant beach holiday in a boutique hotel with a balcony and beautiful sea views as advertised, ordered and paid a lot for. We received a tired out old dump. One room had no balcony even though we paid extra. They’re not replying to my emails for a refund and we weren’t refunded for the SIX nights we left. My room was a tired old disaster from the 60’s with a wooden door and a glass pane that was supposed to have the sea view!!! My friend had a blind that didn’t go up and went out to a common terrace instead of the balcony we paid for. . My toilet seat was broken, the cistern took ten minutes to loudly fill and the tiny shower leaked through the tiles in the bathroom floor. If the bathroom door was open I could t get out the front door. No bin in the room so I dripped a teabag all the way to the bathroom! My friend got asthma as the blanket and cushions were so dusty. No elevators and two flights of stairs up to the sad hot lobby. One receptionist hardly speaks English and even ordering a taxi to get out of there was an effort. Luckily we found rooms at a wonderful resort nearby at less cost!!! This is a total rip off and they’re dishonest not replying to my requests re the balcony room we didn’t receive. Beware of false advertising and misleading views - they’re not from the rooms. They have a terrace but it’s not from your room. Lots of noise in the morning when they set up breakfast. A disaster.

More faulty down to Tui. Paid for an upgrade to a Junior Suite with lounge area and sea view. The hotel do not have rooms with this designation. Ended up in a small room with a disabled toilet that was not at all suitable as so high off the ground. Bathroom mirror so low I found it difficult to shave. No lounge area and had to sit on the bed. Could not put clothes on hangers as they were filthy, really dirty. Terrace furniture again filthy with ground in dirt and cracks in table. Hotel claimed they could not move us as fully booked. Tui rep would not visit us although they helped another couple. Sounds as if this was happening every week. Breakfast and evening meal were very good. Noticed that many family groups arrived and said they were not staying. Get the right room and it would have been a good experience. To quote about our room ‘someone has to have it’.

I boutique hotel normally means small but luxurious. This may be small but it’s anything but luxurious. The room was tired with mould in the shower. The positive is that it was a good size but at the price I paid I would expect that. The coffee at breakfast was absolutely undrinkable! It came from a Nescafé machine and tasted like nothing I could identify. Last but certainly not least- over our 2 night stay we had no hot water! The first day it was cold so I spoke to reception and they said they’d investigate. When I returned from a beach stay it was tepid. The next day also barely tepid! In addition there’s no lift and no porter service except for one young girl. My husband managed the luggage up two flights of stairs. Overall I would describe this hotel as a bad flash back to the 60s On the up side the staff were friendly.

The hotel is clean, the staff lovely, the rooms fairly basic but fine. It is a 3 star hotel, so it can be noisy if you’re unlucky with your neighbours, which we were for a couple of nights. There are several steps up to the hotel. Breakfast is the usual buffet style with everything you would want both savoury and sweet, but it is the stunning view from the terrace which is just fabulous. We had a room with a shared balcony, divided into more private areas, although we could see and hear everyone. The “private” areas led onto a roof top open to the four rooms on that side - again with super views. It’s a 5 minute walk to the centre. In the opposite direction is a pharmacy and a few shops. There is free street car parking next to the hotel or turn left and there’s parking down the hill and next to the church at the bottom. Alternatively there is plenty of free parking in Via Croce, which is at the back of the hotel but you’ll need your satnav to help you find it via the one way systems. From the Via Croce parking, walk down the wide steps, turn right up the hill, right at the top and you’re just a few yards from the hotel. Really enjoyed our stay. Worth taking a boat trip, but beware when jumping in the sea from the boat as the sea can be “fresh”!
