Hinton Lodge is a 100 year old colonial style self-catering cottage, which has been completely refurbished in 2021 to high standards. Hinton Lodge is a detached rural cottage situated on a small rise in the middle of a picturesque valley. It overlooks beautiful views of fields leading to Salisbury Plain. Although it offers a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, it is conveniently situated within easy distance of nice local pubs, restaurants, shops, etc. and is ideally situated to discover many places of interest such as the ancient sites of Stonehenge and Avebury, Longleat House and Safari Park, the cities of Bath and Salisbury, and many more...About pets:Pets allowed: dogs (limit 2 total).One large dog or two small dogs (£30 per dog)..About checkOut:Check out before 9:30 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About customRules:We welcome well behaved dogs. What a lovely place to stay - truly a gem
We had such a wonderful stay. You are on the countryside for sure. Lovely walks on quiet roads and hiking paths. Waking up on the morning to cows mooing and the birds chirping.

What a gorgeous property! We got a little list (Thanks Google) but once we found it, we were so happy.
Beautiful cottage, thanks for the milk for the coffee.
Using the heaters was a little confusing but we eventually figured it out.
It is a little out of the way from places but for us, that was the point. We had a car and could easily get to Bath, Stonehenge, and other points of interest.

Nice private spot
We had a short stay at this cottage. It was well appointed, bright and the outside area is fantastic for relaxing. There are doors separating every room which makes it convenient for cutting down noise if you have multiple people staying there.
The pub in Steeple Ashton was fantastic (The Longs).
The one and only drawback was the strength of the smell of the (I assume) cleaning products. In trying to air out the smell, we discovered that the second room's window was impossible to open and main living area were painted shut.

Short stay at Hinton Lodge
We stayed at Hinton Lodge whilst visiting family and it made the perfect base. Everything was comfortable, clean and as described. Due to a last minute family emergency Clea was incredibly accommodating to some late minute changes, which was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend a stay if visiting the area.
