I have been on several safaris in Tanzania, South Africa and Botswana, but none have come close to our wonderful stay at Campi ya Kanzi. We fell in love with the place - the beautiful Chyulu Hills and wonderful wildlife, where we were one of only a handful of visitors. As well as wonderful game drives, we enjoyed some amazing walks ending with stunning 360 degree views with sundowners, as well as some great horse riding and meeting people from local communities in an authentic way, Our ensuite tent was wonderful and of a high standard and in a very peaceful setting, right in front of a watering hole with wonderful views of Kilimanjaro. All of the food was delicious and plentiful - a credit to the chef. Best of all were ALL of the staff who were very welcoming, professional and helpful. Our wonderful guide, Parashi was the best guide that we have ever experienced (and believe me we are in the travel industry and have travelled a lot!). Parashi was extremely informative and knowledgeable in an unintrusive way and he had a great rapport with our 2 boys. We all felt very emotionally attached to the place (and to Parashi!) - in fact one of our boys felt so emotional that he could not stop crying when it was time to leave! This really is an amazing place that provides a unique experience and you can see what good work is going on with the local communities, wildlife conservation and in terms of the environment and sustainability. Luca and the local Masai communities are doing fantastic conservation work together, ensuring that sustainable tourism works for everyone. You really feel that your money is well spent in this conservancy. Money spent here not only brings the visitor an amazing experience whilst being at one with nature, but also goes a long way to preserving this wonderful piece of Africa for future generations.
