This time, I was satisfied with the hotel in all aspects. The only small problem was that the cable of the ski resort was stolen, so there was only one cable car in operation, which made the whole ski trip less exciting.

I stayed with three families!
The location is great and the room is pretty clean!
Although it is in the mountains, there are about 2 convenience stores about 5 minutes by car, so it is safe even in the event of a chance!

Hotel location is a bit remote. It is more convenient to drive by car. But very special. The only thing is that the room privacy is too low. There are no curtains in the lobby.  There is no fence in the garden. People can see the house outside. Others are still possible. Cleaner

山側の眺望のお部屋でしたが、開放感があり空も広くて良かったです。
お部屋も広々していてソファもあり、キャリーを十分に広げられる広さです。
何より、ユニットバスに入る段差が無し！これは珍しいと思いますし本当にありがたいです。
個室のシャワーの水圧もいいし切り替えもできてとても良かったです。
山の上のため行くまでの道が険しく、猿もいたので日が完全になくなるまでに急いで向かったため、町で夕飯を買うことができず、カップラーメンで過ごしました。21時までの売店にもう少し夜食のレパートリーがあれば嬉しかったです。

諸事情により、急遽、宿泊させていただきましたが、快く受け入れて下さり、感謝しています。
急遽、受け入れていただいたのもあるかと思いますが、古い物件でしたので、家具、建具、備品、お部屋、寝具等々は湿気をおびていて、清潔感に関しては良いとはいえませんでした。
ただ、かなり、広い物件で合宿等の多人数で宿泊するのには、お得な宿泊先だと思います。
各寝室に扇風機、リビングにサーキュレーターはありますが、エアコンがない？ので、真夏でも涼しい立地で問題ありませんでしたが、リビングにいる時はサーキュレーターと各部屋の扇風機をフル稼働しました。

After reading the comments section, I learned that the front desk staff can communicate in Chinese and there is a pick-up and drop-off service from the JR station. It will be open in 2024. I made a reservation without hesitation. Before checking in, I learned The hotel contacted and learned that Mr. Hoshikawa and his wife are also Chinese. They have been studying in Japan for more than 10 years. It feels like meeting old friends in a foreign country. Because it is our first time to travel to Karuizawa, everything is strange to us. Hoshikawa The husband took the initiative to introduce us to us, and sent us to the car rental company to pick up the car the next morning, and reminded us of the precautions for driving in the snow. Since we stayed at the Karuizawa Prince Hotel the night before, our glasses and power bank were left behind. The hotel forgot to take it away, so I asked Mr. Hoshikawa to contact the Prince Hotel for help. Because the hotel is located halfway up the mountain, the hotel provides kitchen utensils for travelers to cook by themselves. Fortunately, we had enough time, so we bought all the hot pot at the 7-11 supermarket in Karuizawa. Ingredients, of course eating hot pot in the guest room restaurant is a rare experience! Thank you again🙏”Mr. Xingchuan” for your service!

DDoubaiA friend comes here to stay here for a few days every winter. The winter outdoor hot spring and snow scenery he sent me attracted me, and this year I finally got to stay for two nights. The overall value for money is good. Although the hotel is a bit old, it is clean and tidy, and the hot spring pool is also tidy. The breakfast and dinner buffet dishes are quite rich. It’s nice to soak in the hot springs and watch the snow scenery here in winter. Will recommend friends to come here.

GGuest UserI was surprised at how big the hotel was. The 360-degree panorama from the rooftop was the best. I would like to come back to this hotel again. The food was buffet style for breakfast and dinner, which was satisfying. However, there were a lot of people, so I would have liked to have a more leisurely meal.

AAnonymous UserUnfortunately, the vending machine on the floor where I stayed was out of service. There is no convenience store near the hotel, so it would be nice if the store had a wider variety of products. The room was clean and the illumination from the window was beautiful. The hot springs are also nice! I would like to use it again during ski season.
