The room was inexpensive, half the price of the properties we looked at in the area. That, and the fact that it had a kitchen was the reason we picked it. However, there is a reason the price was so inexpensive. This is basic accommodation -- the mattress was comfortable but noisy when you rolled around on it. The floors were not carpeted, so any outdoor dirt on your shoes is tracked throughout the unit. The bathroom is small but serviceable. If you want things like plates, utensils, cookware, or a coffee machine, you need to ask at the front desk. The front desk staff were always friendly, smiling, and more than willing to help, which made this less of a problem. There was a breakfast provided every morning, but we never availed ourselves of it -- it appeared to be limited to pre-packaged items and coffee. There is a vending machine in the front desk area, but no ice machine I could find. There is a laundry area for guests, which was helpful as we were traveling light. We had problems with the two GFCI outlets in the unit (one in the kitchen, one in the bathroom) -- neither were functional. We reported it to the management the morning after our arrival, but they weren't fixed at all by the time we left. There was also a missing light bulb in a table lamp, but we didn't report that as it wasn't an issue for us. Our room keys also stopped working every three days or so and needed to be rekeyed -- I was told it was due to interference from other devices, but the regularity of it leads me to believe it's a security measure. We were familiar with the area, having lived in the Puget Sound for 20+ years previously, so the location was fine for us -- we didn't need to be close to Seattle attractions or other travel options. This is close to the Starfire sports complex and the Green River Trail, if you're so inclined to use either of them. Getting into the parking area can be tricky unless you're exiting I-405N -- be aware that the right lane of International Blvd at that point is the merge lane for the exit ramp, and traffic can be coming off that ramp at speed. I would definitely stay here again, as I know the area and have my expectations set accordingly. If you're looking to visit Seattle for the first time, don't know the area, and want to do the tourist thing, maybe find somewhere else with a concierge.
