A comfortable place to stay on the outskirts of Coba village and ruins. The room was comfortable. The pool was attractive. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have Starbucks coffee but, because they do, coffee was not free at breakfast, which was a bit odd but the breakfast was quite good. I would easily stay here again. The owner introduced himself and was quite friendly.

Great hotel. Very comfortable and very clean rooms, super nice and helpful staff, delicious food. Staff helped set up transfer, taxi, etc, etc. Great spot for a few days to explore the ruins, cenotes, etc. Borrowed their bikes, rode to town. Walked to town (early, not it mid day sun). Super friendly spot to land a as solo female traveler.

The hotel is beautiful, the service is excellent and the restaurant Pischan has an amazing menu. Totally recommended. Coba is a great place to spend few days to disconnect and and explore cenotes and Mayan ruins. We had a great time and hopefully we go back.

We stayed at the Hotel Aldea Coba for one night as part of a birdwatching tour with Ecocolors. The reception area / bar / Starbucks / restaurant was open air and made you feel as if you entered the jungle. Check in was quick and everyone we interacted with was friendly. It felt like we were walking down a private jungle path on the way to our room with a nice porch out front. The hotel is wrapped around a crazy-shaped, very cool pool with islands of plants and nooks to sit in a hammock our lounge chair. They light the pool up at night for a great ambiance to the grounds and the restaurant. Our room was open style except for the toilet. It was basic but clean and comfortable. In addition to AC, they had this unique ceiling fan that had retractable blades. The shower is completely glass and you can look out on the jungle path if you dare (also means someone on the path can look in) …there is a curtain that almost completely covers the large window. They turned down the room and even left a small surprise on our pillows while we were at dinner. They door lock was a bit of a pian with my big hands…but you get the hang of it. We did have dinner by the pool that night and it was very pleasant with only one other group. The service was great, and the menu was varied enough. Our chicken dish was presented well and tasty. They have a full bar with most anything you could want. We left before the free breakfast or the Starbucks was open. We liked this place and would recommend it to a friend.

Excellent customer service. I can't say enough of how kind and knowledgeable the staff are of the area and culture. They set up an amazing Mayan cultural experience for us that was the highlight of our trip. Bike ride to cenotes and ruins. Beautiful rooms, gorgeous setting. The onsite restaurant is excellent. We will definitely return

We spent two nights here with our kids. We had a two queen villa that had its own plunge pool. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was so beautiful with a huge walk in shower that the kids turned into their own slip and slide. The resort is quiet. There are only 5-6 villas, and they weren't all occupied. Most guests only stay for a night or two as the area isn't developed for tourists (a good thing, but it makes for few dining options in the area). There's a large central pool, and but there isn't much "to do" at the resort other than eat and drink and lounge. You can borrow bicycles to visit the local cenotes or the small town and Coba ruins, or you can walk the mile into town, but that's about it for entertainment. I think we would have enjoyed this place pre-kids, but with young kids, they wanted more stuff to do. The quality of the food at the resort is good. Breakfasts are simple but tasty and included in the price of the room. Lunch and dinner are excellent, but they are pricier than similar meals in town. We really enjoyed the guacamole as well as the Maya chocolate service for dessert. If you don't plan on driving, I believe the hotel is the best resource for transportation. We paid an airport taxi $200 to take us to Aldea Coba, but the resort arranged for a (much nicer) shuttle from Coba to Playa Mujeres for about $120.

This hotel is on the road before entering Coba and its Mayan city. It consists of a large patio with a long (shallow) swimming pool. There are few rooms. We slept without one of the villas with its private swimming pool. The shower is giant with a view of the jungle. Friendly welcome. A good restaurant on site. The icing on the cake is that the Aldea Coba hotel includes a mini Starbucks. Which is the guarantee of having good coffee and even good chocolate for breakfast!

Modern and relatively small complex. Despite its proximity to the main road, it is quiet as there is hardly any traffic in the evenings and at night. The staff are friendly and helpful, everything is very clean, beautiful little garden with lots of palm trees. The food is particularly noteworthy, it skilfully combines Mexican cuisine with elements of Mayan cuisine and is extremely good.
