Super friendly reception staff. Confirmation said check in finished at 6pm but the hotel responded to me straight away to say someone will always be there. Large room, very nice inside. Good shower. Parking is on street, but there were spaces and it was a quiet area. Good location close to Salinda Yurda and Turda Gorge. We ate at hotel as not sure if there were many restaurants. Food was nice but quite basic, food prices though. Staff didn’t haven’t much personality but weren’t unfriendly. Only downside was the staff at breakfast, the lady was so rude. Breakfast was ok, but had much better elsewhere. Nice view from floor. Spa was difficult to find. Only a handful of chairs. Facilities ok, I would come just for the spa as the pool wasn’t very big and the heated hydrotherapy was shall - no jacuzzi. Didn’t try the sauna as it looked closed. Treatments were good price but all booked up, but emailed in advance about booking and had no reply. Only marking down as the lady at breakfast was so rude it overshadowed the stay.

Room was a good size for the price, restaurant food was great and came out very fast, contrary to some of the reviews on here. Price of beer was nearly as cheap as water which was beneficial seeing as there is not much else to do in the evenings. Ladies behind the desk are sarcastically hilarious, definitely tickled me being a Brit but I can imagine how it would rub people up the wrong way. Laundry service is cheap, although it doesn't go back to your room and you have to ask for it from behind the desk (it could sit there for a few days). On the subject of sitting for a few days, this was the condition of my un-cleaned room towards the end of my stay. After the first day of the room not being cleaned, I asked at the front desk to have it cleaned everyday, and to place my laundry in my room once done. Even though they agreed to do as requested, that was the last time my room was cleaned, and again asked them the second time it was uncleaned and still no one came to clean the room or change the towels. Disappointing on this level. The gym was a room with a treadmill, exercise bike, 2 dumbells and a broken multi-gym (which is now fixed - you're welcome). Half the equipment was out of order and it is definitely nothing like the pictures on google. At least the floor in the room is big enough to do some exercises in. If you're looking for a hotel to stay near to Turda, this is a decent place to get your head down for the night

We stayed at The Salis for about 3 weeks, and it was a mixed experience. The staff was, for the most part, very helpful and friendly. The front desk personnel stood out as prompt and professional. This is a mid range hotel, but for the area it is probably one of the nicest. The rooms are ok but have flaws. The TVs are tiny and there are issues with water pressure and air conditioning. The walls are paper thin and noise from outside is easily heard in the rooms. The mattresses are thin and a bit worn. They will, however, provide a mattress pad, which helps. We had serious issues with staff entering the rooms without notice. We were working nights, so we slept during the day. On numerous occasions, housekeeping or maintenance workers would come into the room without even knocking. The red DO NOT DISTURB light was completely ignored. This continued even after notifying management. The surrounding area is not what I would consider comfortable. The hotel would lock its front door late at night, and even use a bicycle chain to secure the entrance. This also provided a safety issue. The restaurant was nothing special. The food was ok, but it took forever to get served. Orders often took more than an hour to arrive for a simple meal. Overall: Not great, but you work with what you have at the location. The price is very reasonable.

Buon hotel a Turda, a solo 800 metri dall'entrata secondaria delle miniere che volendo si possono anche raggiungere a piedi. Nel suo complesso un buon hotel, discrete le camere, buona la pulizia. Buona la colazione con molta scelta nel salato un po' meno nel dolce. Dotato anche di piscina che non sembra nuovissima ma comunque l'abbiamo utilizzata ed è stata piacevole conclusione a fine giornata. Tutto sommato consigliabile come tappa del tour in Transilvania.

Hotel pessimo, personale dilettante e anche se con buona volontà non in grado di risolvere un problema per soddisfare il cliente, alla richiesta di parlare con un direttore la risposta è stata spiazzante per un Hotel che si presenta come un 4 stelle, “non è presente una persona responsabile, mi dispiace”. La stanza consegnata era nella parte non ristrutturata e priva di ascensore, piuttosto scomodo con valigie pesanti, angusta, con odore insopportabile e aria condizionata mal funzionante. La risposta della ragazzina alla reception alle nostre lamentele è stata spiazzante, “vi abbiamo consegnato una stanza 3 stelle nella parte vecchia in quanto nella parte 4 stelle eravamo pieni” non evidenziando che abbiamo prenotato e pagato per una a 4 stelle e avrei gradito essere informato prima. Aggiungo che non c’è stata nessuna disponibilità a risolvere il problema. Tenendo comunque in considerazione che lo standard Hotel in quelle zone è piuttosto basso consiglio di evitare.
