Absolutely beautiful hotel. Very calm and relaxed and the room is great with nice amenities.
The hotel breakfast is yummy and the location is really good. The hotel are happy to help book taxis for you and the cafe looks lovely.

Very nice atmospheric architecture in middle of the grape fields. Although when booking a restaurant is announced it offers only breakfast and there are no proper restaurants nearby. The coffee shop is nice, the coffee good but only a small collection of cakes are offered. You may ask for a food and drink delivery servlce, but you better know Chinese to do and it will be given to you in a plastic bag.

This is such a fantastic place to stay and a surprisingly gorgeous find. It smelled amazing and the staff provided a cool towel on arrival which was amazing after the dryness of the desert from which we had just arrived. There's a gorgeous little coffee shop next to the hotel as well which was a fantastic opportunity to re-caffeinate after a few days without during our tour of the desert. Definitely recommend staying here for a few days to recharge.

Easily one of the top two or three guesthouse experiences I’ve had traveling China over the past decade. While it’s certainly on the higher end of the price spectrum, you definitely get what you pay for and more. The level of detail is immaculate: given how hot and dry Turpan is, they give you as much bottled water you need & leave hydrating facial masks in your room every day. Also, shoutout to the beds—one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on in China—and Japanese toilet. The facilitates and service touches are on par with the best luxury hotel brands which probably go for twice the price or more.
But ultimately the people and location are what make this place special. Everyone from the owner to the cleaning staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I ran into the owner at a restaurant and he bought me dinner and introduced me to some local dishes I would have never known to order. The location is 🍇 valley. It’s a quaint little grape producing village with friendly locals and amazing fruit.
All in all, Bafeng Retreat is a special place that is perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to unwind and take life slowly. Highly recommended.

Honestly, I don't even know where to begin.
Let's start with the worst hygiene issue. There were several clumps of dusty hair in the room, and the gaps between the tiles in the shower room were filled with black mud. When I took a shower, I not only had to wash myself, but also the tiles. Everything came out when I used the shower head, and the tiles were also covered with hair from previous tenants. Didn't you hire a cleaning staff? Do you wash your bed sheets? I really doubt it.
In addition, the service awareness is really close to 0. I can’t even tell if I have unrealistic expectations? It was past seven when I arrived at the hotel. I wanted to go out to find food as soon as I got off the car. After we went out, we found that there were very few places to eat in the whole village. In addition, it was the off-season, and there was basically nothing to eat in roadside restaurants except barbecue skewers. There were few street lights in the village, and I couldn't find anything to eat. The more I walked, the more disappointed I felt. Shouldn't the front desk have been careful and mentioned this? After all, didn't they know that we didn't know what the off-season would be like? If I had known this would happen, I would have driven out to eat. Why would I still be blowing in the cold wind in the village? I was really frustrated at the end, and had terrible French fries and pizza (although they were terrible, I was still grateful that this store was open)
Finally, the breakfast was really bad, the cherry tomatoes were no longer fresh and the taste was wrong when you bit them, the yogurt was expired, and everything else except boiled eggs and millet porridge was really terrible. The price was nearly 700, in a place where fried vegetarian skewers cost 1 yuan a stick, and living in such a house, I'm sorry, whoever lives there will be wronged, I won't come again a second time.
