Turpan Gaochang District Hotels

Our excitement started, from the moment, we met the staff at turpan train station, very gentle, n warm.. Then arriving at the lobby, full of warmth north Wellington smiles, of staff, then the welcome water melon n the melon, helped us release the tensions of train ride,.. Then the comfortable, lodges, ( 2 lodges A frame , very comforting, the breeze n singing birds n 2 big pots of herbal tea with fragrant flowers, n rose,..lots of dried fruits, resin, figs n more,, later on, in evening the refreshing, melon n watermelon, , later in evening free coffee n chocolate cakes,,.. Breakfast, simple n enough for a day of activity, all the items for dinner raglan, n fried vegetables, n kebabs, , one of the best as long as I remember in recent years.. Thanks to the English speaking staff for organizing our trip route n selecting transportation.. Staff thanks for helping me find the best barber for my haircut,, which busy schedules , back home in Japan Warmth n professionalism of staff are much more than our payment .. We had to extend our stay twice,..we already missing the place.. Thank you thank you

I stumbled upon this hotel during my trip to Turpan, and it completely exceeded my expectations! The architecture is full of Western Regions character, and the grounds are absolutely stunning – perfect for photos. The room was clean and spacious, with all the amenities. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and enthusiastic, and they even thoughtfully recommended local tours and dining routes. All three meals were authentic and delicious, and the location was convenient for getting around. I felt so relaxed and comfortable during my stay. If you're coming to Turpan for a vacation, you absolutely must stay here!

Booked 4 rooms for this specialty homestay and looked forward to staying. The booking page marked check-in at 16:00, we arrived at nearly 19:30, and the room was not cleaned up. The staff proposed to arrange for us to transfer to the Hilton Hotel. Although the conditions were good, we made a special trip to the hotel and were unwilling to change the room type. After the standoff, I waited for a long time in the cafe to check in. No one assisted with the luggage during the arrival process, and all the large luggage was carried by myself. The welcome fruit included in the order should have been placed in the room in advance, and it was urged many times before it was delivered at 11 o'clock in the night. Objectively speaking: the decoration of the homestay building is very distinctive, the internal facilities are brand new and beautiful, and the environment is very photogenic. When leaving the store, the store took the initiative to prepare a souvenir, and it can be seen that the attitude of actively making up for it afterwards. The overall stay experience is large. I hope that the store will reasonably control the check-in cleaning time limit, respect the choice of guests, and do not directly guide the guests to other hotels when the listing is tight. If you are a tourist who punches in a special homestay, it is recommended to confirm the listing with the store in advance.

The front desk staff asked me to register for Huazhu Club with a verification code. They said it was a check-in code, but when I opened the message, it said account registration. I don't know why they said check-in code instead of explaining the situation directly. I've stayed twice, and this happened both times when I checked in. I want to ask if it's mandatory to register for this software to stay at your hotel?

The hotel's surroundings are average. The rooms are on the second and third floors. Downstairs is a Sichuan restaurant, noodle shop, and breakfast shop. Parking is available on both sides of the road and behind the building. The hotel staff is friendly and greets guests warmly upon arrival. Check-in is quick. The rooms are small but clean and tidy. It's a new hotel, and the amenities are quite new. My favorite is the matte gray bathroom flooring, which feels elegant and classy. The shower water is excellent, and the mattress is also acceptable. I don't understand why the quilts are so thick in a place like Turpan with such extreme temperatures. To cover them, the air conditioner has to be set very low. Doesn't that waste electricity? Another issue is that every day when I return to my room and open the door, I smell a strong odor. I look carefully and it doesn't seem to be coming from the bathroom. I don't know where it's coming from, and the windows are closed, so there's no outside air coming in. However, this problem persisted for two consecutive days. I hope the hotel can address this. Overall, for a new hotel, it's a good one.

The location is very close to Turpan North Station, just a short bus ride on bus route 2. It's about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Kan'erjing Paradise is also about a 10-minute walk away. It's also possible to take a bus to the city center. The Turpan Museum was closed for renovations. The bed was clean and had plenty of shelves, making it very convenient.

The environment is comfortable, clean, and tidy. This is my second stay. I have one suggestion: the hostel needs to cultivate a better atmosphere; otherwise, it lacks a proper ambiance.

First and foremost, this hotel accepts foreigners. The hotel is quite ok but not great. I booked a no-window non-smoking room (don’t do it, go for room with window) because I thought there is more chance people still smoke in non-smoking rooms with windows. The first room they gave me, put the key card on and electricity didn’t work. Waited for them to check with no result so I was relocated to another room. It’s non-smoking but I can clearly smell the smoke. Took 2 days for the smoke smell to go away which is a pity. The room is small but enough for a solo like me. Each floor they built 4 lines of rooms, the 2 middle lines stay wall-to-wall to each other and are the ‘no-window’ rooms. I would definitely recommend you to choose the room with window, because it means you don’t share a lot of ‘walls’ to other room and have a window to open at least for circulation if room is smelly or if room is too hot. In my case, my room smells smoke, and the room heater system only allows 34-37 degree celsius which is crazy! Very hot if turned on so I had to turn it off the whole time I stay at the hotel. Even though it is winter time, the whole hotel is already on heater. Unable to adjust room temperature is annoying because it means no air circulation. There is a blowing machine (similar to a fan) in the room but it is not efficient quickly enough. The room feels extremely suffocating. I did really wish for a window. Also because the no-window rooms share 3 walls with other rooms (not counting the upper floor), it’s more bad-luck chances for weird noise. In my case, I had to endure one whole freaking night with 2 loud Uyghur couples who cannot hold themselves back from banging the freak out and making all kinds of terrible terrible noise. Seems like no soundproof for these walls.
