Turunc Hotels with Bars

We stayed here as a couple on a B&B basis. After paying for a suite with a sea view, the view was somewhat obscured by trees which was a bit disappointing. The room was fairly well equipped - kitchen facilities with a hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge freezer. However, little things were missing, like an iron and ironing board which we were informed would be provided. An iron was eventually provided on request. There was no bottle opener and the phone and some sockets didn't work. Huge positives: The view. Absolutely gorgeous and when the sun rises, it's spectacular. Great view from the pool too and lovely to sit out and look at. The pool area is great, clean and refreshing. The staff are polite and attentive. Not so good: The room needed a bit of TLC. I understand the resort was refurbished in 2018 and it looks like it's due another touch up. The towel rail on the balcony was broken, some sockets didn't work, the finish looked a bit shoddy. The beds are very firm, verging on hard. The breakfast is very expensive (£12 per day each) and really disappointing. There is lots of choice (pastries, cereal, fruit, bread, some hot offerings) and a chef can knock you up and omelette if you want one which was quite nice. However, the hot food was often cold and a bit bland. The tea and coffee offerings were hit and miss, the fruit juice more like squash. The bar is very expensive. The bistro restaurant has a lovely setting but we were told many things weren't on the menu. Maybe it was just a bad day? And what we got was mediocre. Things to note: there is a free shuttle bus that will take you to Turunç and back but it starts at 10 am which is a bit late in the day. The last bus leaves at 5.15pm so a bit early for an evening jaunt to Turunç. Maybe they're hoping people will eat at the hotel. Cabs cost 200TL which is about £4.50 each way so this does add up. You can walk it but it's a challenge! And there's a Dolmus (bus) every hour from the front of the hotel if you want to get that. There is a little shop for provisions but it's quite expensive.

Sorry for the caps in the review title but I had to grab your attention. The Hotel does not cater for any dietary needs nor any allergen needs. Let that sink in a little. Are you vegetarian? Vegan perhaps? Allergic to Gluten? Or Nuts? Or Cats? If so, you will have an allergic reaction if you stay here or at the very least be unable to stick to your dietary regimen. No labels on much of the food including no allergen information. Cats walking around inside the food halls. Yes walking aound the seating area and inside the food halls too. Cross-contamination of utensils i.e. tongs, ladles etc being used and swapped amongst dishes etc. The stuff of nightmares if you have allergies. Dilapidated rooms needing refurbishment and no-cleaning being carried out for the entirety of our stay. At best this is a 3 star hotel. Rude hotel management and a ridiculously arrogant attitude towards diets and allergies. The manager told us confidently: ”We don't have customers with allergies here” and that catering to dietary and allergen needs simply isn't in the concept of the hotel. See the attached photo for proof....yes he actually put it in writing for us! Other staff are hit and miss. Some are helpful (Dilon, Semet & Ozlem are excellent) but most are disinterested and reflect poorly on the brand. My daughter had a severe allergic reaction to peanuts on our first night and was terrified to eat anything for the rest of our stay. The management told us it was out problem and not theirs. They even tried to stick us with the doctors bill after they confirmed they'd given us the wrong information about what was safe to eat! Our biggest fear is that eventually someone here will lose their life due to the pig-faced ignorance and arrogance of the hotel management. We were astonished that in 2024 anyone operating in the hospitality sector could be quite so out of touch with reality. Once again....I would avoid this place like the plague...there are far better hotels in Turkey than this place. Note: There were other issues too which are important too such as the spa treatment centre being unsecure. My Wife was having a massage and the door was opened midway during the treatment by a member of staff as they entered to get some oils. No knock on the door or anything. Shambolic & unprofessional.

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming small hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like part of their family—they were so friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making my stay special. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect getaway for anyone looking to relax and recharge. The rooms are cozy, comfortable, and well-maintained. I can't recommend this place enough—it's truly a hidden gem that anyone would fall in love with.

Our stay at the Diplomat Hotel in Marmaris Turunc was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home, treating us with such warmth and kindness. They were particularly accommodating towards me and my baby, which made a world of difference. Every single member of the team was lovely, from the bartenders to the front desk staff, always ready to help with a smile. A special mention has to go to Rumeysa, who was an absolute gem throughout our stay. She was incredibly attentive, courteous, and always willing to assist with anything we needed, making sure we were comfortable at all times. Hakan was equally fantastic, going above and beyond to ensure we were happy and well taken care of. The food was another highlight—delicious and varied, with something for everyone. And the location of the hotel couldn’t have been better, right by the beach with breathtaking views. We had such a wonderful experience that we are already planning to return. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing and family-friendly getaway!

Travelled to this hotel as part of a group of 13 people, a mix of adults and children. Positives * Clean hotel and spotless area around the pool and bars. Staff always cleaning. * lovely pool but cold, plenty of sunbeds, and we didn't need to rush to get beds. * Food was very good, something for everyone. * pool towels could be changed daily. *beautiful sunrise from balcony well worth upgrading to sea view. *jetty on the pier, it's lovely to relax on, but you need to get up early to get beds. *All staff were friendly, especially in the restaurant and the omelette man. *air-conditioning was good in the room. * The animation team was really good, especially the dark-haired lady. She remembered people's names when getting them involved. * The hotel is in such a good position right next to the shops, bars, and restaurants. *lots of great seating areas to chill and have a drink. * The 3 musicians in the evening performing while we had our food were so good. Negatives *bed sheet was thin and rough like a old towel * The selection of drinks was terrible. no pink gin, proseco, dark rum, or malibu, definitely not 5* Bars ran out of certain drinks and was never stocked back up. This left us drinking the same drinks all the time. Cocktails were hit, and miss depends on who made them. The lobby bar was the worst. I've never seen such a low stocked bar. *3 people in our room but only ever left 2 towels for showers, was eventually resolved by guests relation lady.
