I'm picky when it comes to ski hotels, but I struck gold here. Spacious rooms, excellent food, a cosy bar and superb spa combined to create a very relaxing stay. The staff are superb, and clearly the family owners are very hands on in maintaining the quality. The pools (because one pool is just not enough!) are big enough to actually get a decent swim in, and the outdoor one is every bit as magical as the photos suggest. My favourite element was the spa. Its the best I have come across, and I spent hours in there every day. It is very well thought out and spacious. My ski holiday turned into more of a spa trip with a bit of skiing attached. The ski lift is a five minute walk away, and you can ski back to within about 100 metres of the hotel. The ski hire shop is just across the road. The village is small and quite pretty, and very quiet, which is fine by me. For a banging night-life, stay in Mayrhofen! Thankyou to all the staff, we would love to return.

Everything was perfect! The staff, the food , the rooms and entire facility were so clean. This was our first visit to Hintertux and they assisted us with everything. A bus each way to the glacier stops outside. On returning the spa has everything. We loved our stay- we had 2 rooms as we have a teenage girl so would suggest this for others .

When what a hotel say and provide it's the truth. Das Alois is really Original Mein's. Courtesy and availability from all the stuff, wide range of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner; all food is superbly cooked through the use also of organic ingredients, with vegan and vegetarian options too. A great, superb and modern Spa in which you can really relax. Through the reception you can book all the sport activities you prefer such as hiking, yoga, E-bike, tennis, riding a horse and so on. We spent a whole week there and we were so good that we didn't want to come back to Italy!

Very nice stay. Lovely people. Super service and great food. Nice clean rooms. The indoor and outside pools are stunning. We certainly will be back. Don’t miss the dessert buffet!!! The staff is very helpfull. 👍👍

Sehr gepflegtes Hotel mit hervorragendem Service und sehr familiärem Personal. Besonders zu erwähnen ist die außergewöhnliche Qualität der Küche und die abwechslungsreichen mehrgängigen Menüs. Seit 2012 ist die Qualität für mich insgesamt gleich gut. Außerdem: Die Bar ist gut sortiert, jeder Wunsch wird von Max erfüllt.

Wir hatten einen wirklich traumhaft schönen Urlaub über die Weihnachtswoche im Alois. Hier gibt es einfach nichts, was man kritisieren könnte. Der Empfang und der Umgang mit den Gästen und Personal war einfach herzlich und freundlich. Wir hatten ein wunderschön eingerichtetes Zimmer bzw. Suite mit Blick auf den Hintertuxer Gletscher, traumhaftes Wetter mit frischem Schnee, was will man mehr. Winterwandermöglichkeiten ohne Ende. Ach ja: Die Verpflegung war phantastisch, die Küche hat sich hier jeden Tag wieder aufs Neue übertroffen. Wir hatten unseren Hund dabei und auch das war überhaupt kein Problem! (Danke!) Wir haben gleich wieder für das nächste Jahr gebucht.

Nach einem nassen Start mit den Mtb’s vom Gasthaus Breitlahner kamen wir völlig ausgekühlt im Alois an. Bei heißem Café mit Kaiserschmarrn und Zwetschgenkuchen gelangten wir wieder zu Kräften. Der Seniorchef war sehr um uns bemüht und die Mitarbeiter äußerst zuvorkommend und freundlich. Unser ungeplante Besuch entpuppte sich als Glückstreffer und die Vorstellung einzuchecken weitaus attraktiver als das TuxerJoch als Ziel. Vielleicht kommen wir aber als geplante Urlauber wieder, der kurze Einblick hat Lust auf mehr gemacht.
